ABOUT US

Established in 2007, Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators Company Ltd (STAR) is a
Limited Liability partnership between Taqa Al-Rushaid for Marine Works co. Ltd.
which owns 60%, and Saipem international BV which owns 40%. The objective of the
company is to fabricate offshore structures and components at King Abdul Aziz
Port in Dammam. This major initiative of fabricating platforms for the offshore
oil and gas fields is the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
To be the leading offshore platforms fabricator in the Arabian Gulf region.

MISSION:
- To fabricate high quality offshore platforms.
- To transfer know-how and technology to Saudi Arabia.
- To create employment opportunities for Saudi Nationals.

ACTIVITIES:
STAR’s activities are the fabrication and load out of offshore facilities from a
400,000 square meter fabrication yard built in accordance to international
standards. Yearly production capacity is 30,000 metric tons of offshore
structures, which creates hundreds of direct employment opportunities and
creates substantial opportunities for local trading. Further yard expansion
plans adding another 130,525 square meters are underway.

   
 * Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment
   
   HSE management system is implemented throughout the company, through an HSE
   Department. Safety is considered the first priority within the company, and
   company policy requires that all employees receive a full HSE orientation
   prior to starting work. The company has completed over 24 million man-hours
   without LTI. STAR was awarded ISO 9001 in November 2009. and ISO 45000 in
   July 2019

   
 * Human Resources
   
   Contract agreements have been signed on with STAR & SPSP and ICT and HAJER
   Institute to trained Saudis to become Welders and Fitters, total existing
   External training is 413 Saudis, This training program is in collaboration
   and approval of the HRDF.
