HANUMAN: THE LEGENDARY POWER AND LOYALTY OF THE MONKEY

Hanuman is an important god in Hinduism, and there are many legends about his
birth.

One popular theory is that Hanuman was the son of the wind gods Wayu and Angana.
Anjana is a beautiful fairy who longs to have a child and prays to the wind God.
The wind God granted her request and gave her a son, Hanuman.

Another theory links Hanuman's birth to Prince Rama. It is said that when Prince
Rama performed an important sacrifice, Angana came to the scene and prayed for
Prince Rama to have a son. Prince Rama granted her wish and Hanuman was born.

In any case, Hanuman is depicted as a divine monkey with extraordinary strength
and intelligence. In Hinduism, he is regarded as a symbol of loyalty, bravery,
and wisdom, and is deeply loved and respected.

Legend has it that Hanuman was born with the ability to fly clouds. When he
opened his eyes and saw the sun, he thought it was an edible mango and flew
through the clouds in pursuit of it. Just as he was holding the sun in his hand
and preparing to eat it, Indra, the god of heaven, appeared in time. In order
not to harm the sun, Indra quickly struck Hanuman in the jaw with a bolt of
lightning, knocking him to the ground. In Sanskrit, "Hanu " means "chin" and
"man" means "broken expression." Therefore, the name Hanuman means "the
appearance of a broken jaw".

In many of Hanuman's films and television works, Hanuman has a prominent chin,
which is the signature feature of his divine appearance and is highly
recognizable.
