WELCOME TO FCT HIGH COURT, ABUJA

The FCT High Court as one of the Judicial body of the Federal Capital Territory
Judiciary, is established by Section 255 of the Constitution of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria, 1999. It is under the leadership of the Honourable Chief
Judge who is also the Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Judicial Service
Committee.

The High Court has under it, the High Courts, Magistrate Courts and the Abuja
Multi-door Courthouse (also known as the Alternative Dispute Resolution Center)
and its support staff.

Honourable Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf, sworn in as the substantive Chief Judge
of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, on the 26th of October 2021,
by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad.

 * Hon. Justice S.C. Oriji hails from Obio/Akpor Local Gov't Area of Rivers
   State. He was called to Bar in 1990 and completed his National Youth Service
   the following year. He was in private practice of law from 1991 to 2003. He
   was appointed as a Judge in the FCT High Court, Abuja in 2003. He is married
   with children, and his hobbies include reading.

 * Hon. Justice M.E. Anenih
   
 * Hon. Justice U.P. Kekemeke hails from Ese-Odo Local Gov't Area of Ondo State.
   He was called to Bar in 1982. He was in active private practice of Law
   between 1983 and 2007 when he was appointed as a Judge in the FCT High Court.
