A HISTORIC VENUE REBORN IN DOWNTOWN SAN FRANCISCO

Live music and entertainment with special events, three full bars, and food by
Fifth Arrow. August Hall has been built to be a flexible, multidisciplinary
event space with a design that pays homage to the great history of the building.
August Hall & Fifth Arrow house three distinct rooms and three lanes of bowling.


MUSIC HALL

With sprawling 32-foot ceilings, 100 year old architecture, and new drapery
outlining its historic stained glass windows, our Music Hall is a pristine
restoration of one of the City's original masterpieces.


GREEN ROOM

A plush cocktail room serves as a luxe escape from the energy of The Music Hall.
The Green Room is an excellent compliment or staging area for any special event
or night out.


FIFTH ARROW

A cocktail, dining and gaming parlor (complete with three bowling lanes - the
first and only in Union Square!) located downstairs from the August Hall lobby.

After the great earthquake of 1906, Union Square became San Francisco's premier
shopping district, and, by the 1930s, the site of the world's first underground
parking structure. 420 Mason Street was originally built in the 1890s as a
Victorian Playhouse by celebrated architect August Headman. In the 1940s it
became a USO club called the "Stage Door."

Later it started showing films as the "Stage Door Theatre" and hosted the
premiere of the Alfred Hitchcock film Vertigo on May 9, 1958.

By the early 1980s, it had become the Regency III movie theater (the Regency I
and II were located several blocks away) before becoming Ruby Skye.
