Today, one of my neighbors stopped by with a plate of chocolate covered strawberries as an early Valentine’s gift for everyone on my floor. [My apartment] is spacious and I have a lot of closets, which I love. I adore my patio and it’s easy for me to let my little dog, Teddy, out the door to go outside. I’ve had some health issues lately and the staff is helping me, even though I don’t think they have to because I am in Independent Living. The nurse even came to see me one night. Our Director, Cindy, has become my friend. She stops in to talk with me almost each day. Recently, I had an overnight stay in the hospital. When I got out, my son asked me if I’d like to come stay with them for a few nights.
