What was the highlight of Hotel Royal
Just stay for sleeping only, get yourself outside as much as you can.
Location and cost.
They had renovations and by Sunday 31st I could hear the drilling sound as early
as 9.00 am. When I called the operator she claimed that its normal, then
clarified with the other guy who came back to me without apology instead
fighting me back for there is no way renovation conducted on Sunday. He then
clarified with the housekeeping and called me back just to said “dont have
what?!” ????‍️ my gosh, the attitude cant be accepted at all even for budget
hotel.

The property was clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable too. Was able
to check into the room even though it wasn’t near the check in timing.
The service upon arrival wasn’t well received and the staff at the counter when
checking out were not professional and have a poor service attitude.

No choice.
Honestly for Singapore, they are considered one of the spacious yet cost
efficient and prime location. It has own washing machine and dryer machine
(warning: may not wash and dry as your expectations, i decided do outside
better). Water take from shared dispenser.
I think it is a jungle rule, cost effective means you expect to have less
attractive service by the staffs too. I am disappointed only that it has to come
from the operator or counter staff especially once you in and you called them
for something. The cleaners in my opinion are friendly.

Room is big and spacious if compare with other Singapore hotels. Customer
service is exceptional. They provided the best service, the Filipina front desk
(sorry, I forgot her name) and Mr. Harry are the best ones. Including the
doormen, they are courteous and helpful. I felt an amazing and comfortable
experience here.
The hotel building and furniture felt old and gloomy after you enter the
bedroom, their carpet looked and felt old and have been used in decades if i
would guess. Air in bedroom is not circulating so there is a damp/moldy smell in
the room which made me not dare to inhale deeply. The toilet shower curtain is
so smelly once you enter the toilet you can smell it right away. The room has
poor lighting due to yellow lightbulbs are being used than the white lightbulbs
and with the distance of ceiling it needs more brighter lighting.

All in all a pleasant stay close to transport shops and a variety of restaurants
Dinner was very nice. Building is close to the train station, bus stop and close
to shops.
Staff where courteous but where not helpful. No tourist information at the
hotel. Hotel is getting rundown and needs a bit of work done not just patch ups.

Large room at a value price
Large comfy room at a bargain price. I like the peaceful location in a leafy
mainly residential area away from crowds. Walked to MRT and convenient for
Newton Food Centre.
Room furniture is a little tired but acceptable at price paid. Cleaning of
bathroom and particularly mirrors could be better. Visible marking in higher
hard to reach areas.

Hotel Royal Stay
The rooms were cleaned daily. The hotel reception was very helpful and made our
stay enjoyable. The pool was clean and we always had clean towels when we
visited it. The congee at breakfast was always the go to, to start.
Breakfast food had variety but not tasty on 4 of 5 days. Also more choice of
fresh fruit would have been good.

The room is spacious,and cozy
There is bath tub but no pipe beside the toilet,it's difficult for malay family
need to clean themselves after they pass motion,as muslim i prefered room with
no bath tub but always fulled,tge room with no bath tub shpuld be priority for
muslim if possible.
