social and economic re-development of South Africa’s townships. </span></p>

<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal"><u>Goal of the NDPP Grant</u></i><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"> </b>is eradicating spatial inequality towards the creation of liveable,
sustainable, resilient, efficient and integrated towns and cities. The <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal"><u>Grant Purpose</u></i><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"> </b>is to plan,
catalyse and invest in targeted locations in order to attract and sustain third party capital investments aimed at spatial transformation that will improve the quality of life and access to
opportunities for residents in South Africa’s under-served neighbourhoods, generally townships. </span></p>

spatial economies. It consists of a set of sequential activities that optimise a package of public infrastructure investment, fiscal & regulatory development incentives and coordinated

Due to fiscal pressures, we are not able to fund Municipalities outside of our current Portfolio. The NDPP supports and invests in all 9 Provinces across South Africa. Our portfolio includes: 8
Metros, 15 intermediate cities and 25 rural municipalities. </span><span lang="EN-ZA"

Sign In This Site: NDP NDP Home Contact Us NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The Neighbourhood Development Partnership Grant (NDPG) and its supporting infrastructure, the Neighbourhood Development Partnership Programme (NDPP), were established by the National Treasury in 2006 in response to the challenge of the social and economic re-development of South Africa’s townships. The Goal of the NDPP Grant is eradicating spatial inequality towards the creation of liveable, sustainable, resilient, efficient and integrated towns and cities. The Grant Purpose is to plan, catalyse and invest in targeted locations in order to attract and sustain third party capital investments aimed at spatial transformation that will improve the quality of life and access to opportunities for residents in South Africa’s under-served neighbourhoods, generally townships. The NDPP Unit implements its mandate through the Urban and Regional Network Strategy. The strategy is aimed at leveraging private sector investment in order to transform the urban and rural spatial economies. It consists of a set of sequential activities that optimise a package of public infrastructure investment, fiscal & regulatory development incentives and coordinated urban management in targeted locations. Where we invest: The Neighbourhood Development Partnership Grant (NDPG) works with an identified Portfolio of municipalities. Due to fiscal pressures, we are not able to fund Municipalities outside of our current Portfolio. The NDPP supports and invests in all 9 Provinces across South Africa. Our portfolio includes: 8 Metros, 15 intermediate cities and 25 rural municipalities. Disclaimer
