According to the OECD, the Italian result is mainly due to the "increase in compensation of payroll employees and the income of the self-employed". Italian household income had fallen by 0.4% in the previous quarter, the OECD said. As for real GDP, it rose by 0.1 % in Italy against -0.3 % in the previous quarter.
