winter sports curriculum at some of Switzerland’s top mountain resorts.

a professional career, our Sport Etude programme may help them to balance their
studies with training to allow them to reach their full potential. By
implementing a flexible, personalised timetable, we ensure they have the time
and energy to really apply themselves to their sport. Time spent attending
professional coaching sessions outside of the school environment, and at
regional and international competitions will be factored into a bespoke
programme.

HOW DOES THE EDUCATION SYSTEM WORK IN SWITZERLAND ?

Education is compulsory from the age of four up to the age of 15 (Secondary I)
whereafter the apprenticeship pathway or the Secondary II route leads to various
university options. Languages play an important role, and students learn at
least three languages: their official local one (mainly German, French or
Italian), a second national language and English. At St. George’s, we cater for
children from 18 months to 18 years old and offer a Cambridge International
curriculum followed by the IB Diploma programme.


WHAT ARE THE LANGUAGES SPOKEN IN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS OF SWITZERLAND?

As an international school, St. George’s stimulates language learning
opportunities and offers several bilingual and multilingual pathways which
include — in addition to English and French — a variety of languages offered in
