worked but for only 5 minutes!! Hasn’t worked since and that was three weeks
ago. I talked to CD they somehow removed my vehicle from the app I put it back
on. It use to update mileage and gas etc but the remote functions never worked.
I get the code and can see the vehicle in my app. I had a car with idrive 6
before and it only took two seconds the get the code and activate the
connection.

Maybe you can put a bit more pressure on them to activate the app. You need to
give the vin of your car and the e-mail adress of your CD account. The app kept
on telling me the code had ben sent but it wasn't.įinally I called the CD online
helpdesk (Belgium Holland) and within 5 minutes they activated the CD account on
my phone. I didn't get the code in my car to activate CD app on my iPhone. Love
the X5 but want the connected drive app to work!! Anyone having similar problem?
Suggestions? Thanks. I know BMW is having problems with connected drive but it
seems to be with idrive 7? Tried all the suggestions from this forum, the
useless genius and called connected drive people who told me it would be a month
or more before someone got back to me. Having connected drive issues with the
2020 idrive 7 but not the 2019 idrive 6 vehicle. Bought a 2019 X2 and a 2020 X5
in November. So many HERE POIs are placed wrong on the map.when they actually
show up. It just searches HERE and Yelp for online POIs. Oh 7 does search
online, not disputing that. Alternative is to search in the cd app indeed and
sent to car. In Idrive 6 I had to click on online search but in 7 you can start
typing in "search" with the same functionality. So I start with the name of a
store and sometimes I need to put in the city too and the navigation finds it. I
found out that when in the navigation menu and you select search and start
typing it will show destinations from contacts in your iPhone but also online.
That is why even if sitting in the car, I always pull out my phone, search in CD
app and send to car the location.Īnnoying 2 step process, which nonetheless
works I mean, just look at how poorly OTA is working around the world. That
option does not exist in 7 at the moment.įrankly, 7 has a lot of potential, but
BMW has really messed up the rollout. Your contacts can see either your ETA or
live location - perfect for when you may be meeting people up for dinner. If you
use the "share live trip status" on 6, it works perfectly. Your CD portal will
show that you have it in your car with 7, but the reality is that it's not
enabled. If you live in an area of high growth where new businesses pop up all
the time, you know that Google is the best at getting POIs up-and-running.Ħ also
has ConnectedDrive+ functionality actually working. 7 only pulls POIs from the
onboard nav, online through HERE, and online through Yelp. I'll explain.Ħ has
Google search built in, which is huge. It also looks better IMHO.Ħ has more
usable functionality. Saw this thread and thought I'd chime in since we have two
BMWs, one with iDrive 6 and one with iDrive 7.ħ is quicker to render maps, and
is quicker to reroute based on RTTI. You can also bask in the glory of a unicorn
lease deal-I suspect you'll live. That said, it's an M5–you'll get over it.
Voice control on 7 is leaps and bounds ahead. oh wait, you're in the US, right?
Well, if it isn't on my 2020 and it definitely wasn't on my 2019, then I doubt
it's on yours. My 2020 M5 Comp doesn't have proximity unlock/lock-probably a USA
thing. Let me put it like this, I wouldn't get another new bimmer if it didn't
have IDrive 7 (or later).

I went from a 2019 M5 to a 2020 and the IDrive change comes along for the ride.
Especially the locking and unlocking approaching and walking away. Anyone here
have both and notice significant differences that would be concerning? I love
being able to create settings for each individual key and profile through
Connected Drive. I'm getting very comfortable with 7 and am concerned 6 will be
a major step down. My 2019 M5 with iDrive 6 arrives at the end of this week. My
wife just received her 2020 X5 with iDrive 7.

Besides, it is amazing to think of how similar the two species are despite
having been separated for many millions of years on opposite sides if the earth,
and why this should be. They are very rare and so is the Chinese tulip tree. And
besides, you could ask the same question of stamp collectors who treasure the
rare misprinted stamps, like ones with the image upside down. But the Chinese
species does have much larger, more strikingly cleft, leaves which are often
purplish tinged when expanding. That’s not a big deal - nobody really grows
tulip trees just for their flowers since they are borne high in the tree, and
when the leaves are fully expanded. The flowers lack the orange flare on the
petals, and they are smaller and duller. But while it is fun to see the first
flowers, compared to our native, they are less attractive. The hardiest forms
from the northernmost colonies can survive in southern Michigan, but it is
exceedingly rare in cultivation. Despite tons of map icons that were simply go
to a point to collect an item, I had a really good time with this game.This is a
smaller tree than our native Liriodendron tulipifera, very rare and mostly
subtropical in China. The music is really good, often giving me Lion King vibes.
It finishes up strong with a memorable ending. It ends up being one of the
strong points of the game. The story goes in some dark places compared to the
atmosphere the islands portray. There is a stamina bar for this so you can’t
spam it. But the birds are awesome because you can simply take to the sky and
fly quickly over tall mountains or dense forests.

Tulips cannot be grown in the open in tropical climates, as they require a cold
winter season to grow successfully. There are around 100 species, originating
from the region from southern Europe, north Africa, and Asia from Anatolia and
Iran east as far as northeast China and Japan. You are able to possess every
animal you find in this game, from birds to boars to fish to crickets. Tulips
have been developed in nearly every color except true blue. There is a little
combat but what is there is sporadic and basic.īy far my favorite aspect of this
game is possessing animals, specifically the birds. There are a few races to
complete and shooting challenges but for the most part the game is simply
traveling and exploring the islands. That’s what most of this game entails
although many of the icons are simply items to grab. I love exploring worlds and
checking icons off my map. Tchia is open world and like many of those games
there are spots that once you get to open up more objectives for you to find and
complete. The game does a great job of giving you the island feel. In this game
you play as a little girl who ends up exploring a few islands. From being able
to climb anything, to paragliding, to the use of a stamina bar that works just
like Zelda. It reminds me of Breath of the Wild lite, as far as the world and
exploration part of it. They can be pretty scary so in using everything at your
disposal (including the. They are acting under the orders of the archipelago’s
evil ruler Meavora and have taken Tchia’s father. The island that our heroine,
Tchia, calls home has been invaded by strange fabric creatures called the Maano.
Tchia starts off slow before the world begins to open up. Tchia keeps the beat
while her father sings. Tulip probably is native to the Tien-Shan and Pamir Alai
Mountain Ranges of central Asia near the modern day city of Islamabad, close to
the border of Russia and China.

These cloth golems can only be defeated with flames, so Tchia's other power,
"soul throwing," is needed. The fabric monsters inhabit small camps (and later,
several sprawling factories) across the islands, and if they spot me they try to
tangle me up with weird tendrils of cloth. When it comes to combat, it's all
about soul-jumping, though. I could reduce an entire camp of cloth monsters to
ash in seconds without ever slowing down If that's not enough, I can also summon
a raft at a dozen different docks to explore the ocean around the islands, take
in the views, and stop occasionally to dive for pearls or visit some of the tiny
islands scattered off the coast. It can be blissfully peaceful or a frantic
improvisational scramble to navigate mountains, valleys, and gorges. The island
quickly becomes a playground for acrobatic travel, and combining all of Tchia's
traversal options and soul powers is the most fun I've had exploring an open
world for ages. She has a glider, useful for leaping off cliffs and then popping
her chute to serenely drift the last few feet to safety, and she can buttslide
down mountainsides at terrific speeds. Clamber to the top of a tree, rock it
back and forth, and she can use it as a catapult to launch through the air. She
can climb almost anything, from sheer cliff walls to the sides of office
buildings to vertical metal pipelines, as long as her stamina holds out.

Tchia is a kinetic and capable traveler even when she's not using magic.
Infiltration and exfiltration are a snap when you can possess almost everything
you can see. But there were some small rocks on the ground, so I jumped into one
and rolled back out through the gap. The crab, unfortunately, had skittered away
and vanished, and I thought for a moment I was now trapped in this little cave.
Once inside I exited the crab and opened a hidden chest.

I suddenly remembered I had a crab in my backpack, so I plucked it out,
soul-jumped into it, and scuttled sideways through the opening. At one point
while exploring I found a small opening in the side of a cliff, too small to fit
through even when crouching. Soul searchingĪnd it's not just useful for travel,
collecting items, and avoiding a fall. No need to worry about a safe landing
when I can essentially teleport to the ground. Just before I hit the ground I
threw my soul into a rock sitting in the grass I was plunging toward. Once I was
climbing a cliff, ran out of stamina, and fell. I've been a deer that can
thunder across the island much faster than any human, I've been dogs (they're
useful to possess when I need to dig something up) and chickens (I can lay an
egg, turn back into myself, and pop the egg in my backpack), and even a cow-you
can make them poop out explosive turds, good for blowing things up.

I can chain my soul-jumps, going from racing through the offshore waves toward
the beach as a dolphin, then ejecting myself from the water and possessing a
passing seagull to take flight before my feet hit the sand. The more I do it the
more fun it becomes.
