WHO WE ARE

We are a chronic pain specialist, with a high success rate presented in 5 starts

any form of musculoskeletal pain. The techniques used by our chronic pain
practitioners which have been developed over 20 years of working with patients,
with long-standing illnesses or complicated cases of pain in the muscles have
allowed us to hone our skills and develop a new system and techniques to help
patients this is called COPA Therapy and Sawaf’s technique. Whether your pain is
acute or COPA therapy can offer you a renewed outlook on your life which will
equate to a pain-free life.

This unique system has been developed by our Head Practitioner Ammar Sawaf. COPA
Therapy focuses on the source of the pain; muscle stiffness regardless of the
diagnosis you have been given (bulged disc, herniated disc, meniscus, sciatica,
headache, rotator cuff tear, sports injuries, untreatable conditions…..) not at
any point we are dismissing these diagnoses instead we don’t think this is what
causes the pain and we have a different approach to treat the pain.

In addition, Ammar has developed his own technique called Sawaf’s technique to
break the muscle stiffness by stimulating and manipulating the muscle tissue
fibers allowing the blood vessels to flow naturally again. Once the full
treatment plan is followed a patient will see significant improvements. During
the treatment phase life, style, and ergonomic factors are discussed which the
patient is advised to implement in their lifestyle to ensure that there is no
regression.

Ammar Sawaf has worked for over 2 decades with experts in the field of
Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, and Acupuncture to develop COPA Therapy
and offer a new way to treat pain; COPA Therapy’s whole philosophy is to
eliminate pain from its root cause, once and for all.

Additionally, here at the CT Clinic, we have started using a muscle diagnostics
machine Myoton which allows us to make an objective, accurate and non-invasive
assessment of muscle tone and stiffness this diagnostic tool is fast and
efficient it measures a unique set of parameters including tone and elasticity.
Myoton is a trailblazing piece of kit which is used by several hundred
universities and is currently being used by NASA. Myoton helps us with the
treatment of each patient as it gives us a unique set of data which allows us
more detailed information to carry out a better treatment plan.

AMMAR SAWAF

COPA Practitioner

Ammar’s passion is treating people suffering pain. His greatest satisfaction is
treating patients who have been unable to get relief from other specialists.
Starting from the age of 17, when a back injury ended his promising professional
footballer career, he spent eleven years studying and developing the techniques
he now uses. In 2006 he founded CTClinic, treating patients using the COPA
methodology.

PABLO SANCHEZ - GUARDAMINO

COPA Practitioner

Pablo Sanchez Guardamino has trained both in Spain and UK, he qualified in Sport
Science (2003) and later Physiotherapy (2006). In 2007 he moved to UK and in
2010 he completed 1 year course at Salford University gaining further experience
in Musculoskeletal, Respiratory and Neurology fields becoming a member of the
HPCP and CSP.
