Lock horns in wheel-to-wheel LMP2 combat, through to the thunderous GTE cars, as you drive for supremacy for famous brands such as Aston Martin, Corvette, Ferrari and Porsche. Compete in single player modes, pushing you and your machine to the limits. Face the challenges of modern sports car racing in online multiplayer, juggling strategy, speed and consistency, as you compete in challenges, events, or against your friends unlocking rewards in a new, user-friendly competition system. Yes, this is the official game for both the FIA World Endurance Championship and the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans. Who is the studio? The studio developing Le Mans Ultimate is Studio 397. The studio is named after the incredible 397 lap feat by Audi in the 2014 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Studio 397 are the developers behind the rFactor 2 simulator using the world-renowned pMotor 2.5 technology for the latest title - Le Mans Ultimate.. What’s the current stage of development? The game is in the production phase currently and the Le Mans Ultimate team will be present at Le Mans for the centenary event (7-11 June) to show a first look of an early build of the game. We wanted people to enjoy the experience of playing an early build, and we will have two options for race fans to try. The Porsche 963 Hypercar and Ferrari 488 GTE will be available to drive around Circuit de la Sarthe. We are keen to hear thoughts and comments from event goers and there will be opportunities for feedback as we shape the development pathway for the title. When is the first gameplay available? What is happening at Le Mans? Race goers will be able to try the Porsche 963 Hypercar or Ferrari 488 GTE at the Circuit de la Sarthe on a first look early build of Le Mans Ultimate Presented by Thrustmaster. We will be located in the Family Zone during the week of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (7-11 June 2023). Those who sign-up to try the game will be able to provide feedback and enrol onto our mailing list to receive news and updates. Those who try the game at Le Mans will also be entered into a competition to be in with a chance of winning a Le Mans Ultimate branded Thrustmaster T818 direct drive wheel and base. What if I can’t make Le Mans? The Le Mans Ultimate team would like to take fans behind the scenes with news and content throughout the development of the game so you can stay up to date with its progress. The aim of Le Mans Ultimate is to put you in the cockpit of some of the most exciting race cars and to immerse you in a detailed experience of the FIA World Endurance Championship. The game will enable the user to choose preselects depending on experience and ability from Beginner to Advanced. This will enable the game to assist the first time player with set-up, but also allow full in-depth set-up changes for those who want to enjoy the refinement of simulation play. Alongside robust steering wheel support, specific development resources will be allocated to assisting those at the beginning of their sim racing journey who use a gamepad or controller. Le Mans Ultimate will incorporate innovative online activities - allowing users to experience endurance racing through innovative asynchronous gameplay so you can complete races with friends and teammates at times that suit each player. What platform is it on? Is it on PC or Console? Le Mans Ultimate is coming to PC first. Over the first year of the product, we will be continuing to refine the title and bring updates in the second part of 2024. We are evaluating when is the right time to bring this experience to console. The performance of current generation machines makes this a real possibility. What will the recommended System Requirements be? The game is currently in development, once we are in the final stages of development, we will communicate the desired system requirements for players to fully experience the game. Is this a one off game or will there be further games or content? The idea for the game is for it to continually evolve and have a lifespan longer than a yearly released game. We expect this game will be supported over a prolonged period, with regular updates and content added during its lifecycle. Further details will be released about the potential expansions post-release of the base game. When is it being released? The team are fully committed to bringing out an exciting and enjoyable FIA WEC experience – making sure everything reflects the real life FIA WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The game is set to be released on the 20th February 2024 What’s happening to Le Mans Virtual? We will be bringing the Le Mans Virtual Series, the biggest racing esports series to the Le Mans Ultimate platform in the near future. Through the official content and new multiplayer features we will further expand the reach, accessibility and participation - creating a ladder of opportunity for players of all abilities and those with limited time to take part in official events and series.
