Apple launched their first iPad in 2010, it was derided by many as being little
more than an oversized iPhone. For guitarists, a tuner and a selection of amp
and effects modellers is also included. The built-in metronome can be set to
a specific bpm manually, or by tapping the tempo, and it can also keep time
using a range of pre-recorded drum loops in a variety of time signatures. If

All other peoples in Asia and the Pacific have only five notes in their ears.
Journalist Carmen Guerrero Nakpil said this in 1997, “This very Westernization
of Filipino tastes is responsible for the modern excellence and sophistication
of Filipino music performers. But, what makes Filipino music unique is the
mixing of existing traditions with the new Hispanic ones. This brings the
dilemma in defining what is uniquely Filipino. Is Filipino music just Spanish
music sung in the Tagalog language? Indeed, the three hundred years of
imperialist Spanish rule dominated Filipino culture. Grymes challenged me to
explain what makes Filipino music distinct from Spanish music. The Dilemma in
Defining what is Uniquely Filipinoĭuring the introduction of the potential
thesis of this project, Dr. It’s because of you that I am able to do what I am
passionate about. I especially would like to thank my friends and my family, who
have supported me in every way possible in these past couple of years. I’d like
to mention my other professors that I’ve come across to during my time here, who
have taught me so much more than just reading music. Terry Miller Professor
Christina Pier, who has helped me discover my role in Filipino art songs through

definitely a bridge with this notion and the diaspora of Filipinos from their
homeland. Why I thought that way while I proclaim to be a proud Filipino, I’m

culture could never own something as “sophisticated” as classical music. I only
knew of some folk songs passed down to me from my grandmother or of the
tinikling dance. Honestly, I did not know there was such a thing. Deeter
challenged me to look into Filipino classical music. Into my sophomore year here
at the music department, Dr. Thanks to the guidance of my parents, the Filipino
culture is very much a part of me even if I lived here most of my life. With
some sacrifices to be made, my family moved to the States just like anyone else:
for better opportunity. Introduction: I was born in Saipan, Northern Mariana
Islands as an American citizen, but I consider myself Filipino and raised in the
Philippines even if I was there only until I was 7.

Minor outbreaks occurred over the next few years, but elite squad quickly put
them down. Using the research gained from the Ground: ALPHA specimens, a team of
some special individuals were assembled. Instead, infested victims were larger,
stronger… and driven by hunger.

However, unlike most genetic failures, these symptoms were not fatal. These
larvae penetrated the bloodstream and triggered a variety of genetic failures.
These parasites, we call them “Alpha-worms”, laid dozens of eggs inside their
hosts, which in turn produced numerous larvae. A previously unidentified species
of hook worm was found beneath the skin of the Ground: ALPHA specimens. With the
future of humankind hanging in the balance, an exclusive and elite team
possessing highly specialized. Parasites known as alpha-worms have mysteriously
appeared, unleashing a wave of human destruction as they rapidly spread east,
reaching the shores of Tokyo. These victims displayed signs of internal
liquefaction and accelerated necrosis, similar to symptoms of other flesh-eating
viruses native to that region.īut it wasn’t a viral outbreak. Ninja Blade is an
action adventure game set within modern day Tokyo. Victims of the attack were
quarantined at a research facility nearby. Eight specimens were encountered in
the region now referred to as “Ground:ALPHA”… Only four were successfully
contained for study. These rabid creatures were easily provoked and resistant to
conventional attack. While investigating reports of unlawful weapons
trafficking, peacekeeping forces encountered an unclassified carnivorous species
occupying a small village in Northern Africa.
