HISTORY OF BCG

The Bangladesh Community Galway (BCG) was founded in 2006 by residents and
resident students from Bangladesh to promote understanding and friendship
between Bangladeshi in Galway and the rest of the community, including all other
ethnic backgrounds, through the exchange of ideas and culture. BCG organises
recreational activities including sporting and cultural events and excursions
for members and provides a forum for them to exchange information, communicate
ideas and promote community welfare.
