LIFTING THE LID WELLINGTON Home About Donate Donate * Home * About LIFTING THE LID ON YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH IN WELLINGTON Become an ambassador IN TODAY’S WORLD, OUR RANGATAHI FACE PRESSURES LIKE NEVER BEFORE - AND THE NEED FOR SUPPORT HAS NEVER BEEN GREATER. THE BURDEN ON OUR SCHOOLS TO HELP THOSE IN NEED HAS BECOME OVERWHELMING. Despite commendable efforts, resources are all too often overstretched, leaving many students without the support they need. ABOUT LIFTING THE LID WELLINGTON MORE THAN JUST A PROGRAMME, LIFTING THE LID WELLINGTON IS A MOVEMENT FUELLED BY COMPASSION, EMPATHY AND A SHARED COMMITMENT TO THE WELLBEING OF OUR YOUTH. At the core of Lifting the Lid Wellington lies a simple yet profound mission: TO HELP WELLINGTON SCHOOLS SOURCE ADDITIONAL OR COMPLEMENTARY INTERVENTIONS FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE, OR ARE AT RISK OF DEVELOPING, MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. Since its launch in August 2022 by the Rotary Club of Port Nicholson, Lifting the Lid has has received strong support from the Rotary Clubs of Wellington. While Rotary’s contributions have been instrumental in kickstarting this initiative, the need for broader support is apparent.
