Grenfell WHAT IS FREEMASONRY? Freemasonry is a beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. Freemasonry expresses profound ideas and gives precise standards by which masons govern their actions. MASONIC BELIEF We believe in some pretty old fashioned things. We believe in God. We believe in the Brotherhood of Man. We believe in service to those who are less fortunate. We believe in helping young people get a head start in life. And most important, we believe in freedom. OUR MISSION To make good men better, to teach and perpetuate a way of life that promotes the Brotherhood of Man under the Fatherhood of God and to assist Lodges to grow and prosper. Each mason has a responsibility to help make the world a better place. MAKING GOOD MEN BETTER THE MASONIC EXPERIENCE ENCOURAGES MEMBERS TO BECOME BETTER MEN, BETTER HUSBANDS, BETTER FATHERS, AND BETTER CITIZENS. THE FRATERNAL BONDS FORMED IN THE LODGE HELP BUILD LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS AMONG MEN WITH SIMILAR GOALS AND VALUES. Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternal organization. It is open to men of 18 years old or older of any color, any religion, nationality or social standing, the only requirement is a belief in a Supreme Being. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, faith, country, and Fraternity. Learn More WHAT ISA MASONIC LODGE? The word “Lodge” means both a group of Masons meeting together as well as the room or building in which they meet. Masonic buildings are sometimes called “temples” because the original meaning of the term was a “place of knowledge” and Masonry encourages the advancement of knowledge. Masonic Lodges usually meet once or twice a month to conduct regular business, vote upon petitions for membership, and bring new Masons into the Fraternity through three ceremonies called degrees. About Our Lodge 2B1ASK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To become a member of this ancient and honorable Fraternity, a man must apply of his own free will and accord and with an open heart (2B1ASK). Invitations are not issued to prospective members, nor are members solicited. If a person is interested in joining, he should ask a Masonic friend for more information. Applicants must be men of good character who believe in a Supreme Being. To become a Mason one must petition a particular Lodge. Join Our Brotherhood MEET OURWORSHIPFUL MASTER. Worshipful J.D.
