Attendance at school is absolutely critical for student success. The state of
Connecticut has provided schools with very clear definitions for “excused” and
“unexcused” absences. The documents below contain those definitions and some
potential impacts of unexcused absences on students at New Britain High School.

CSDNB Leadership Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The incoming Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has the unique opportunity to join
our mission-driven educational organization serving nearly 10,000 students at 19
schools and programs.

Our CFO will lead a seasoned team of dedicated finance professionals. As a
trusted and critical leader, the CFO is responsible for leading and executing
the finance functions of the organization in conjunction with Superintendent and
Senior Leadership Team.

The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022. Interviews will be
scheduled in early September.

The New Britain Board of Education has voted to reinstate the pre-pandemic
School Attire Policy for students in grades K-8 with changes designed to provide
more color options for families.

CSDNB Celebrates Class of 2022 Graduation
More than 500 students in the New Britain High School Class of 2022 received
their diplomas on Thursday, June 23 at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Willow Brook
Park. City leaders, administrators, classmates, and thousands of family members
and friends came to celebrate the momentous day.

The 2022 Commissioner’s Summer Math Challenge will stress the importance of
maintaining math skills during the summer while schools compete based on student
