So scenic
The Whangarei Heads is such a fabulous area. Ocean Beach is huge and popular.
There is good parking and bathrooms. Follow the trail for hiking. Then we drove
over to Urquhart Bay where there is a smaller parking area. The walk over to
Smugglers Bay was nice, even though a herd of big cows were very close to us!
There were several other walks. The views are wonderful along the way.

Once in a Life-Time Experience!
We had the most wonderful experience on this trip. The combination of physical
challenge, magnificent views and stunning food made it one to remember. If you
are considering this - please up in with both hands. You will make the most
wonderful life-time memories.

Bream Head Coast Walks - Adventure Awaits!
We had the most wonderful three days at Bream Coast Head Walks. The lodge was
immaculate and so incredibly cosy and relaxing and the care from Claire was
incredible. Claire set us up with up to date information about the walk options
nd even delivered us to the walks and picked us up afterwards! Extra touches
like sweet, juicy watermelon after a hot day completed the care package! The
food was exquisite and we ate every meal in the outdoor setting together. So
many laughs, deep chats and a shared sense of adventure. The walks were
challenging but do-able for a group of 40 something mums. I could not recommend
this more - if in doubt, just book it in and bring a group of fun friends - it
will make life time memories and some spectacular photos of the stunning views
from on top the local mountains!

"Must do" stunning walking trip
What an amazing trip! The walks are stunning with lots of options depending on
ability, glad we did the more challenging Te Whara track on day 2 and walking
poles were very helpful here. Claire was the ultimate host and her friendly
informative manner was superb. Her knowledge of the walks, weather and local
area was so valuable and made this trip interesting and hassle free. Transport
was super helpful. The food was an absolute highlight, super yummy and abundant
and we enjoyed not having to cook for 3 days. The accommodation was extremely
comfortable and would recommend going with the linen option.

Just fabulous!
Claire is an amazing host with excellent knowledge of the area, and has added
extra special touches to make your time here very special. Fabulous food, a
lovely, comfortable cottage and an outside bath to soak in after one of the many
walks on offer in this beautiful part of Northland. The perfect place to unwind,
spend time with friends and family, be in nature and relax.

Perfect time out
Fantastic few nights away with old friends in a beautiful part of NZ. Several
different walk options to suit all members of our group. Claire is a wonderful
host - the home made food is delicious and the accommodation is comfortable and
immaculately clean. We felt very well looked after. Highly recommend.

A must-do Northland attraction
Perfect place for a memorable few days away with two of my oldest friends.
Claire is an amazing host - excellent knowledge of the area and all the options
for experiencing it. The lodge is a beautiful spot and the catering was superb,
especially given two of our party had specialised dietary requirements. Highly
recommended - we would love to go back again!

Wonderful weekend near Whangarei
Wonderful long weekend away with colleagues and friends for a team bonding time.
Claire is a fantastic host and really goes beyond to do and think of everything
you will need for your trip - from amazing food, clear instructions for the
walks and Epsom salts to dunk in the outdoor bath when you get back to the
lodge. The only possible complaint...? the nocturnal conversations of the kiwi
rummaging around in the bush keeping me awake! But really - I was delighted to
hear them, such a treat. The walks can be matched to your ability and are
challenging but not overly so. We met families with young kids on the trail, as
well as fit people in their 50s - 70s, just like us. I'm planning my next trip
to Bream Heads to walk the trails we did not manage to get to - 3 days was not
enough.

Bream Head Coastal Walk rocks!
Couldn't fault last week-end's fabulous adventure on the Bream Head Coastal
Walk. Claire, our hostess, was brilliant and so accommodating. And the fantastic
meals provided were the icing on the cake! My favourite moment was lying in the
outdoor bath full of epsom salts & bubbles, with the sun shining on my face and
the tuis and paradise ducks entertaining me. Will be back again one day .. I'm
sure.

A hidden treasure
I have just returned from my 2nd time to Bream Head. The whole experience from
rebooking because of Covid, group numbers changing was made so easy due to
Claire being so accommodating. The food was fabulous and plentiful, the walks
spectacular and everyone in our group enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks
Claire again for bring such a great host.
