YOUTH AND PEACE

Mediothek Afghanistan has been working with youth for many years now, providing
platforms, training and opportunities for engagement in peace building and peace
processes in Afghanistan. The project “Youth & Peace - Youth as multipliers for
peace - mobilization for and participation in the peace process in Afghan
provinces” funded by the German Federal Foreign Office is aiming to build a
sustainable and inclusive peace in all levels of society by engaging youth of
both genders in the peace process, by encouraging their participating in the
country's political processes. The project also provides much needed trainings
for youth leaders and peace activists of diverse backgrounds, enabling them to
act and peace makers and multipliers for peace in their communities. Furthermore
it empowers youth so that their voices are taken into account and incorporated
by political decision-makers.
