part glitter, part glitch, and part void, liquidpretty is a singer, songwriter,
music producer and artist. pouring ethereal sound design, emotional lyrics and
soaring vocals into liquidpretty extract. ☆⟡˙⋆

i’ve gravitated toward music ever since i can remember. when i was a toddler, my
favorite thing to do was dress up in a halloween costume and put on living room
“shows” for my mom and grandma, singing along to my favorite songs. in
elementary school, i felt different from my peers, and was often outcasted and
alone. music was an escape for me - i loved to sing and dance, and lose myself
in the songs.

i started writing poetry at the age of 8. it helped me release my emotions that
i otherwise didn’t know what to do with. somewhere along the way in my teens, i
started singing my poems while (badly) playing acoustic guitar, posting videos
online. then i found free beats on the internet, wrote songs over those, and
started posting them on soundcloud. i made some awesome internet friends who
sent me more beats and i wrote more songs. i gained a small following from my
emotional lyrics and unique vocal style. because of many different reasons, all
of those songs are now lost to time. i’ll always be grateful for those
experiences.

in 2022, i teamed up with alex hunter (known as murmur8n) to create the
lovechild Liquid Pretty EP, evolving into the hyperpop world thanks to alex’s
production. we fell in love while creating the project and are still together
over two years later. cute side story.

after Liquid Pretty EP, i took a hiatus to learn how to produce my own music. i
spent a lot of time practicing and pouring my heart out, composing and producing
a song every day for two years. in the middle of 2023, i reimagined myself as an
artist, changed my artist name from my real name to liquidpretty, and a new
chapter began. a part of this rebirth was accepting and embracing my various
mental health diagnoses, and how i use my pain and struggles to turn them into
something i find beautiful.

i collaborated on another project with alex hunter in october of 2023, feel 2
much EP. this time, i had a hand in the production on three of the four songs.
the project naturally developed into a dark, cinematic soundscape, which gave me
the ability to channel my poetic roots into my writing.

after acquiring an enormous backlog of music, in early 2024 i started rapidly
dropping songs with my own solo production as well as collabs with others.
finding identity and community through music, art, and neurodivergence is what i
find most important in life.
