Life doesn’t always go as planned. And human beings are as vulnerable as they
are strong. Sometimes we know we need to make a change, but we don’t know where
to start.

This is where counselling steps in. Counselling can provide the opportunity and
space to reflect on changes you want to make in your life. Or it may help you
decrease the symptoms that are having a negative impact on your overall
wellbeing.

The most effective counselling puts you in control of the process.

I have important tools and knowledge to share, but we will navigate the healing
process together.

WHAT I OFFER IS QUITE UNIQUE IN THIS AREA, PARTICULARLY WHEN IT COMES TO
CHILDREN.

I am a firm believer in the benefits of EDMR, a form of psychotherapy that
enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from
disturbing life experiences without having to tell all the detail. Previously
blocked memories are released and the distress they cause is diminished.

I also honour the well-known fact that children love to play. I offer Synergetic
Play Therapy (SPT) – a non-directive approach for your child to be able to
integrate any unprocessed trauma using a play-based model.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME.

My name is Kellie Cuper. I am an accredited mental health social worker with
over 12 years’ experience providing therapeutic counselling to adults,
adolescents, and children.

I believe everyone deserves to live life feeling a positive sense of self and
connection to who they really are. No matter what life has thrown at them. This
includes trauma, neglect, and sexual abuse.
