ACCOUNTING & FINANCE

VOYAGE IN FINANCE

With an overall focus on delivering the types of results that have established
us as a premium brand. Immersing you in this fascinating world from your very
first day, you’ll form part of the Hotels Finance Division supervisory team.

You will develop an insider knowledge of;

- Everything from recording transactions and posting to ledgers,
- Preparation of financial statements,
- Income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, and learn to
appreciate how these are interrelated,
- Internal control procedures, international finance standards and operating
procedures,
- Preparation of detailed risk assessments,
- Accounts payable processes, audit, payroll and purchasing operations.


CULINARY

part of the kitchen’s supervisory team.

After you have successfully passed the Voyage Discovery Day, you will have a
final conversation with the hotel you are matched with to make sure it's a good

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for Voyage, you must have:

 * Graduated from a university or hotel school within the two years prior to
   starting the programme
 * Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher- level education (associate’s
   degree acceptable for Culinary only)
 * Proficiency in written & spoken English
 * Permanent work authorization in the country where you are applying
 * Local language requirements are required in some countries as outlined in the
   job description, please verify before applying
 * A passion for hospitality

WHAT DISCIPLINES OR AREAS OF FOCUS CAN I SELECT?

We post a variety of positions that fall under the following core disciplines:

Within EMEA about eighty percent of our positions are in the Rooms Operations
and Food & Beverage Departments. 


WHAT IS THE VOYAGE PROGRAMME?

Our Global Voyage Leadership Development Program is offered in more than 50
countries around the world for recent university graduates and provides a
combination of practical hands-on experience and leadership training. Upon
successful completion of the program, participants will have gained the
confidence and skillset needed to embark on a successful career with Marriott
International.


HOW LONG DOES THE VOYAGE PROGRAM LAST AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Voyage is a self-paced 12-18 month program. Timing can depend on the discipline
and country you are working in. The program is designed to prepare participants
for an entry-level management role after successful completion of the program.
You’ll work with your Champion and Coach to find the right position for you.


DO YOU OFFER VISA SPONSORSHIP

To participate in Voyage, permanent work authorization for that country is
required. We do not provide work authorizations so please be sure you have
authorization before you apply. The only exception is for the United Arab
Emirates and Qatar where we do offer sponsorship.  


CAN I JOIN VOYAGE IN A COUNTRY OTHER THAN THE ONE WHERE I LIVE?

We do require permanent work authorization for the country in which you’re
interested. We’d recommend applying where you have work authorization. Once
you’ve completed the program and are part of Marriott’s network, it can become
easier to pursue transfer opportunities within with company. 


WHERE DO YOU OFFER THE PROGRAMME?

Voyage is offered in more than 50 countries around the world. You can search for

HOW MANY VOYAGERS ARE HIRED IN EMEA EACH YEAR?

It varies from year to year but we anticipate hiring approximately 250 Voyagers
across EMEA in 2023.


WILL I BE PAID?

You will receive a supervisory level salary and benefits package based on the
local market where you are applying to.


WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE PROGRAMME?

After completion of the Voyage Programme your coach and champion will work
together to understand where you would like to go next.

We continue to build on your network and open up the world of opportunities
depending on where you would like to go, and what positions you are ready for to
take on.


WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

Once you have submitted your online application, you will complete a video
interview focusing on your reasons for applying.

An online management assessment will follow that focuses on our key management
competencies. 

Top candidates are invited to a (virtual) Voyage Discovery Day, in which you
will complete group activities together. We look for leadership skills and
teamwork.

Successful candidates are matched to the hotels based on your preference of
location and discipline. A final interview to get to know this team follows,
before the Voyage offer is sent out.
