   standards required by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
   are met.

   From babies and children, through to the elderly and handicap, every one of
   our patients is important to us. We are dedicated to helping you with all
   your medical problems in an individualised and confidential manner.


 * OUR QUALIFICATIONS
   
   Dr Tanner holds a Bachelor of Medicine (Newcastle) degree and is a Fellow of
   the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr David Woods holds a
   Bachelor of Biomedical Science ( University of Newcastle), Bachelor of
   medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

Currently we are accepting new patients, as our books are now open for receiving
new patients.



Civic Medical is proud to continue and build on over 25 years of General
Practice medical service to the Singleton community.

Civic Medical is Singleton’s premium General Practice, with a well deserved
reputation for providing outstanding medical care and professional excellence.

Dr Mitchell Tanner and Dr David Woods are the medical practitioners at Civic
Medical. Both Dr Tanner and Dr Woods are fully Australian trained and are
Fellows of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Both
our doctors hold full admitting rights at Singleton District Hospital, and both
regularly attend local nursing homes.

Dr Tanner and Dr Woods are very experienced and provide care in all fields of
practice, including: general medicine, paediatrics, aged care, immunisations,
skin cancer checks and removal, women’s health, cervical screening,
contraception, men’s health, mental health, and much more. For further

Civic Medical have nurses who are trained and experienced in providing women’s
health services.

To ensure patients can be seen in a timely manner and when it is required, the
Practice will have allocated appointments to be booked “only on the day“ for
urgent appointments, as well as bookings made in advance.

AFTER HOURS :
Phone Singleton Hospital – 02 6571 9222, or go to Singleton Hospital where a
nurse will triage you before contacting the Doctor on call.

Our staff will endeavour to accommodate your needs. If possible, you may advise
our staff regarding the purpose of the appointment, just so we can arrange the
most appropriate consultation time and length, e.g. skin cancer checks, Pap
smears, travel vaccine, etc. 




If you are unable to keep an your appointment please advice us as soon as
possible so we can allocate to someone else in need.
