The Honda radio serial number is very important for each Honda car radio device.
This is identity number that is unique for any different radio device. There are
two different methods to find this number if you need it for some reason or
maybe for unlock Honda radiodevice that is locked whit blocked screen. Location
of Serial No. On Honda Stereos Never take the serial number from any printed
paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual Honda radio fitted
to the car. Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving
on the top or side of your Honda stereo, to ensure the supplied Honda radio code
is accurate. The Honda radio serial number is very important for each Honda car

as###-##-####but this # does not work as there is no input button for 0. Just
bought a 13 LX and it needs a new battery. I know I might need a security code
for the radio, but the code card was not in the documents. I can get the code
online with the VIN and radio serial number, but I really don't want to tear the
dash apart to get it. I've checked glovebox, fuse box, trunk, door jams etc for
a sticker with no result.

HOW TO SHOW YOUR HONDA RADIOS SERIAL CODE ON THE RADIOS DISPLAY.

Holding Preset Buttons 1 & 6 – Without Navigation System

 * Turn the ignition switch ON.
 * When the radio is turned on ‘Code’ should display on the radios display.
 * Turn OFF the radio.
 * Hold the preset buttons 1 & 6, whilst turning on your radio.
 * A 10 digit serial number will appear on the radios display.
 * There will be 10 characters in the radio serial number. The letter ‘U’
   followed by 4 numbers then the letter ‘L’, also followed by 4 numbers.
 * Example, your display will look something like: U1234 L5678. (it may be split
   onto two screens).
 * Or will indicate all 8 numbers at one time. Example: 12345678.
 * Please make note of this number, as you will need this number for the form
   below.

2003 Onwards with Navigation System

 * Turn the ignition switch ON.
 * When the radio is turned on ‘Code’ should display on the radios display.
 * Turn OFF the radio.
 * Press and hold the top halves of the SEEK/SKIP and CH/DISC bars, and then
   press and release the PWR/VOL knob. This display toggles between two screens.
 * A 10 digit serial number will appear on the radios display.
 * There will be 10 characters in the radio serial number. The letter ‘U’
   followed by 4 numbers then the letter ‘L’, also followed by 4 numbers.
 * Example, your display will look something like: U1234 L5678. (it may be split
   onto two screens).
 * Or will indicate all 8 numbers at one time. Example: 12345678.
 * Please make note of this number, as you will need this number for the form on
   the next page.
 * Sometimes you may be able to aquire your radio’s serial in the Honda hidden
   menu (menu, map, cancel) Under status and Navi ECU the serial will display
   starting with have 3 letters before it for example GNB22003871

How to find your Honda Radios serial code on the radios label.

Honda Radio LabelTo find your Honda serial number, you will need to remove the
radio using radio release keys. Once the radio has been removed you will need to
locate the radios label, which is on the top or side of the radios casing.

device serial number on a sticker inside the glove box.

Instructions!

 1. Submit your Radio Serial and your email!
 2. You will then be redirected to download your code this is important! As you
    will be receiving an email when the code is activated

AFTER RETRIEVAL OF DECODE…

 * When the radio is turned on ‘Code’ should display on the radios display.
 * * Press button 1 until the correct first digit of the code is displayed.
   * Press button 2 until the correct second digit of the code is displayed.
   * Press button 3 until the correct third digit of the code is displayed.
   * Press button 4 until the correct fourth digit of the code is displayed.
 * If you have entered the code correctly on the radios display, your radio will
   make a beeping noise then instantly play.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU RADIOS DISPLAY SHOWS ‘ERR’

NOTE: If you enter a wrong code too many times, your radio will lock, forcing
you to go to a dealer to get it unlocked.

 * If ‘Err’ shows on your radios display after attempting to enter your radio
   decode, simply turn off your radio and start the process again.

Before going through the radio serial number and security code retrieval
process, check your glove box and owner's manual.


HONDA SERIAL NUMBER DATE

Honda includes a small card or sticker which lists both the radio serial number
and anti-theft security code number. On this 2011 CR-V there was a white sticker
attached to the left inner side wall of the glove box with both the codes
printed on it.

If you already have the security code, simply key it in to the radio using the
'1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6' preset buttons. Be sure to carefully enter the code since you
only have a limited number of attempts (or 'tries') to enter the code before
being locked out. If you do get locked out, just disconnect the negative battery
terminal for about 15 to 20 minutes to reset the radio.

Owners of 2001 and newer Honda vehicles can display the radio serial number by
following the steps below.


HONDA RADIO SERIAL NUMBER DECODER

The first step is to turn off the radio by pressing the power button once.
Turn the ignition switch all the way back to the 'Off' position.
Then turn the ignition switch forward to the 'Run' or 'Accessory' position but
do not start the engine.
Press and hold both the number 1 and number 6 radio preset buttons.


RADIO SERIAL NUMBER HONDA

While still holding down the 1 and 6 preset buttons, tap the power button to
turn on the radio.
The 10 digit radio serial number will be shown on the display for about 5 to 10
seconds. I'd recommend either quickly taking a picture with your phone or have
someone write it down for you.
To retrieve the radio unlock code online, you'll need the vehicle's VIN number,
the phone number and zip code that you gave Honda when you originally purchased
the vehicle (or the current information they have on file for you), and the
radio's serial number.

   had a black 1995 jetta for years now. She wants to get a honda. What would
