Thank you and I very much appreciate any help. I'd appreciate if anyone had the
steps I and others could follow to get this to work. Or is there another way to
do this and how the Seiken gamefaq person did it is only done for just that
game? Which brings me to my question of how do you figure out the checksum
offsets for snes roms and go about changing them so your game runs correctly?Īnd
did I find the correct checksum location? Now I tried highlighting all kinds of
different areas, even like what the person from the Seiken gamefaq did (offset
70 to 7FD),īut I can't get a checksum that matches the ones already generated.
that don't work very well for getting fuel into the works. pin 19 was volume
airflow sensor reset ooooops. after rechecking wires that i was supposed to swap
which was pin 8 and pin22. from what i read that didn't work, no biggie.
Shouldn't that be obvious If someone can't figure that out, they should not be
using a hex editor. after checking over at evom, the evo8 ecu original rom image
for my ecu was 9417008. I noticed that offsets 0000002F & 00000030 always
changed when I compared different save files, so I figured those were the
checksum. nds file with the hex editor, make any changes that you need, once
done do a 'save as' (so you dont loose the untampared rom incase something went
wrong). So following how the person did it on for the Seiken gamefaq, I looked
for two offsets that could represent the checksum. You can use a hex editor like
HxD to edit every save file you want, but it requires insane knowledge about the
games. Look for info about the game you want on the web. You will need to search
for the specific title that you want to edit the saves for. So Ive been wanting
to get a mini retro handheld like a RG350 but I dont know much about save files,
Id like to play retro games and finish them but I want to eventually get a wii u
and have that act as my retro machine - however I was wondering if. I figured
out that offset 0000001A when changed to "13" gives you a Golden Hammer in your
inventory.īut of course if I edit that in the srm file in hex editor and try to
run the game, it just deletes the save and creates a new save. Save file editors

To construct the summary star scores, some fairly complex statistical
calculations are performed, which essentially use rank order performance on
individual measures, weighted by importance to come up with a summary score.
Given that the quality for different types of care can vary widely within a
single institution, it is unlikely that a single summary score would accurately
represent the quality of care for all conditions or procedures at one hospital.
Consumers want to know about the quality a hospital delivers for their condition
or for a medical procedure. The Quality of Summary ScoresĪ single summary score
that describes overall quality at one hospital is probably not very useful for
consumers. More fundamental concerns are whether a single summary score makes
sense whether we should grade quality on a curve and whether we are measuring
the right things. In our view, however, these are not the biggest problems with
the 5-star summary score or the measures from which they are derived. This is a
valid concern that should be evaluated. The methodology used to create the
scores has been criticized as unfair for lack of adequate risk adjustment of the
medical complexity and socioeconomic disadvantages of the patients some
hospitals disproportionately serve. In addition, there is now a single summary
star rating based upon performance on the individual measures. The 5-star scores
are based upon 64 measures of hospital quality that are published on the
Hospital Compare website. The relevant question is whether the new 5-star
hospital ratings facilitate either. We expect these actions to improve public
health by directing consumers to higher quality providers and by inspiring all
providers to deliver higher quality care.

The reason we measure and publicly report quality is to facilitate improvements
in the health of the population by a) informing consumers about high- or
low-quality providers that they might want to choose or avoid, and b) providing
information to providers that they can act upon to improve the care they deliver
and the scores the public will see. In defense of the scores, CMS and various
other stakeholders have cited the need for quality transparency that consumers
can use to help guide choice of health care providers. In advance of the release
and since, hospitals have criticized these scores as inaccurate and unfair. The
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released summary
"5-star" scores for hospitals on its Hospital Compare website.

STAR WARS OPENING SCRAWL

Using the chosen font size along with the point and angle that we found, we can
reproduce almost exactly the effect of perspective from the original recording.
We can also find the angle of rotation of the plane by measurin the angle
between the normal and the angle of the receding text. It turns out that if we
assume the size of the object in the plane (just choosing an arbitrary font
size, since it’s relative) then we can estimate the point of perspective. This
point of the observer is called the point of perspective. Without diving too
deep into specifics of projective geometry, the scene shown in the original
crawl was a portion of a two-dimensional plane viewed from a point of
observation somewhere in space. This turns out to be a case referred to in
geometry as Single Point Perspective. The most difficult part of using CSS was
in step three where the text looks as if it’s floating off into the distance.
The text displayed was taken from Wookiepedia. I found information about the
fonts and colors here. Luckily, there is already a lot of research and
information about the opening crawls available online. This saved a lot of time
and was much more compatible across browsers. However, I decided to save myself
a headache and manage the animations using Javascript to edit individual CSS
properties. The entire sequence could be managed with a complex sequence of
animation keyframes. Each step is animated by changing a different CSS property:
opacity, dilation, and a vertical shift. I broke the crawl down into three
steps: the introductory blue text, the logo, and the main body of text. I
decided that I wanted to recreate the classic effect using CSS and Javascript.
The production company actually printed all the text onto a 2’ by 6’ black sheet
and filmed by hand very carefully to obtain the smooth scrolling effect. Preview
the results, make the adjustments if necessary and that’s it you’ve created the
Star Wars opening crawl. Use keyframes animate the text and make sure that it
starts and ends off-screen. One interesting fact about the crawl is that when
the original trilogy was filmed in the late 70’s, they didn’t generate this text
with a computer it was all done by hand. Enable the 3D option on the text layer,
and rotate that layer along the X-axis. It appears in every numbered Star Wars
movie (so every movie except for Rogue One) and has changed slightly over the
years. It turns out that this sequence is known thorughout the film industry as
the “Star Wars opening crawl” and is widely regarded as one of the most
effective and recognizable cinematic devices ever used. This sparked me to do
research on the signature scrolling introduction used in Star Wars. One
interesting change I noticed in the new movie was a lack of scrolling
introductory text before the beginning of the film. It was, says Muren,
difficult and time-consuming to achieve a smooth scrolling effect.With all the
recent news about Rogue One, I wanted to pay a tribute to the Star Wars
franchise. The crawl effect was accomplished with the camera moving
longitudinally along the model. Muren says the models were approximately two
feet wide and six feet long.

The roll-up, alternatively called the "opening crawl", is an homage to Flash
Gordon serials of the 1930s and 1940s, which Star Wars creator George Lucas
enjoyed as a child.Īccording to Dennis Muren (who worked on all six films), the
roll-ups on the "original trilogy" films: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back
and Return of the Jedi, were accomplished with physical models laid out on the
