   What is Top Tier Grading, and what do you specialize in?
   
   
   Top Tier Grading is a small, hands-on sports card grading company that
   specializes in grading baseball cards printed from 1970-2000.
   
    
   
   Why would I use a specialized grader?
   
    
   
   Great question! Aside from pricing and turn times, as a specialized graded,
   TTG focuses all our attention, experience and knowledge on one narrow segment
   of collecting. We don't try to do it all...that's what the big boys are for.
   We just do one thing and we do it really, really well.
   
   
   What are your pricing options for card grading?
   
   
   We offer three simple, straight-forward pricing options:
   
    
   
    * Standard Grading: Priced at just $10/card, with a 10 card minimum.
    * Enhanced Single Card Grading: Priced at just $15/card, with a 1 card
      minimum.
    * Large Bulk Grading: Priced at just $8/card, with a 100 card minimum.
   
    
   
   Do your prices include return shipping costs?
   
   
   No,customers are responsible for return shipping costs. However, when you
   place your order, typical shipping costs will be included automatically. And
   FYI, those costs are typically around $10, but could be more.
   
   
   What are your turnaround times for grading services?
   
   
   Our standard turnaround time is only seven business days, pending unforeseen
   scenarios.
   
    
   
   What about Holidays?
   
    
   
   We observe all major Holidays so we can spend that time with our families. So
   those are not "business days".

   What do your grades mean? Like, what does a 10 involve? And a 6? And a 3?
   
    
   
   That's an amazing question, and the answer is something every collector
   should have a handle on. FYI, every grading company has their own "grading
   standards", but in general, most are similar. You can see ours in detail at
   THIS LINK.
   
    
   
   Does Top Tier follow the same grading standards and deduction guidelines that
   other companies do?
   
    
   
   No, we don't. In fact, a change in the way cards are evaluated is one thing
   we hope to change about grading. Can we tell you specifically what we do
   differently? Not entirely. And that's because companies like PSA or BGS won't
   share that information with us...or with you. It's "proprietary". However,
   we've detailed as much as possible in our Grading Standards doc at THIS LINK.
   
    
   
   Wait. What is "Pristine Mint 10+"?
   
    
   
   GEM MINT HAS NEVER REALLY INDICATED A PERFECT CARD, AND THAT’S TRUE WITH
   ALMOST ANY CARD GRADING COMPANY. BUT IT IS VERY CLOSE. OCCASIONALLY THOUGH,
   WE RUN ACROSS A CARD THAT WE JUST CAN’T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH. WE CALL IT
   THE “GOD CARD”. IT IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT IN EVERY GRADING CATEGORY. WE
   FIGURED SOMETHING LIKE THAT DESERVES SOME SORT OF RECOGNITION. HENCE...THE
   10+ RATING.
   
    
   
   How can I submit my cards for grading?
   
   
   Easy. Just click on the green SUBMISSION button in the PRICING section,
   you'll be taken to the page for that Grading Plan, send your cards to us, and
   then we'll take it from there. No forms. No hidden fees. No foolishness.
   
   
   Are there any specific card conditions you do not accept for grading?
   
   
   We accept all cards and conditions, but our prices will remain, even if your
   card is deemed ungradable.
   
    
   
   What about cards with punch holes?
   
    
   
   We do grade cards with punch holes. There is a general dislike in the grading
   world for them, but we regard the holes as just another part of the card.
   Each hole is a 1 point deduction from the overall grading score, but that's
   all. Is that how everyone else does it? No. But this is what we believe is
   fair and reasonable, which is one thing we strive for.
   
   
   What payment methods do you accept?
   
   
   We use PayPal for all our grading transactions.
   
   
   How can I check the status of my grading order?
   
   
   TTG doesn't have a tracking process in place, mainly because we turn your
   cards so quickly. But if you have questions, you can CONTACT US at any time.
   
   
   Can I request a rush grading service for quicker results?
   
   
   Yes, we offer a 48-Hour Rush grading service for an additional fee of only
   $45.
   
   
   What kind of protective measures do you take for cards during the grading
   process?
   
   
   We take great care to protect your cards during the grading process. Your
   cards are stored in protective sleeves and handled by experienced
   professionals with gloved hands to minimize the risk of any damage.
   
   
   Can I submit cards from outside the United States for grading?
   
   
   At this time, TTG can only accept domestic grading requests. We cannot
   process any international receivables or shipments.
   
   
   How can I contact Top Tier Grading for additional questions or support?

   What is the difference between Standard Grading and Enhanced Single Card
   Grading?
   
   
    * Standard Grading is a cost-effective option for submitting 10-99 cards,
      starting at just $10 per card. This option does not offer a Sub Grading
      service, and does not evaluate many of the non-Grading items on the
      Evaluation Form.
    * Enhanced Single Card Grading is designed for individual cards at a rate of
      only $15 per card. It does have free Sub Grading as a part of the package,
      as well as the full evaluation process on the Evaluation Form. There is no
      card minimum on this option.
      
   
   Do you offer authentication services for autographed cards?
   
   
   Yes, we offer authentication services for autographed cards, but only as an
   add-on to grading. You can include this service with your submission to have
   the authenticity of the autograph verified for only an additional $10 per
   autograph per card.
   
   
   What is the process if I disagree with the grading of my card?
   
   
   If you disagree with the grading assigned to your card, you can request a
   review. Just contact us and indicate your concern. We will reply and get you
   to share images and/or additional information that will help us in fielding
   your request.
   
   
   Can you guarantee that a TTG grading will make my card have the same value as
   a PSA grading?
   
    
   
   No. And no one can. Not even PSA. The market is what the market is, and
   values are determined by a complex algorithm of consumer demand, grading
   reputation, economy, etc. But is PSA the industry standard at this time? Yes
   they are. That is a fact.
   
    
   
   Can I insure my cards during shipping to and from Top Tier Grading?
   
   
   Yes, you can choose to insure your cards duringthe shipping process. It's
   recommended to protect your cards in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
   
   
   Do you grade cards other than Baseball cards printed from 1970 to 2000?
   
   
   Our specialization is in baseball cards from that era. We have the greatest
   concentration of knowledge and experience in that area. Having said that, we
   might be persuaded to get out of our comfort zone. Contact Us if you have any
   requests like this and we'll see what we can do.
   
   
   What is the minimum and maximum number of cards I can submit for grading?
   
   
   There is no specific minimum, but we recommend submitting at least ten cards
   to take advantage of our Standard Grading pricing. Plus multiple card
   submissions saves you a ton on shipping. For submissions of 100 cards or
   more, please contact us in advance to ensure we can accommodate your request
   efficiently. There is no maximum on the number of cards though.
   
   
   Do you offer any special services for collectors, dealers, or organizations?
   
   
   Our Large Bulk Grading price is so low, we can't grade for any less. But you
   gotta admit...that's a heck of a price.
   
   
   What measures do you take to ensure the security of my cards during the
   grading process?
   
   
   We have strict security protocols in place to protect your cards. Our
   facility is equipped access limited to authorized personnel only.
   
    
   
   How do I figure my return shipping cost?
   
    
   
   Actually, we'll figure it for you. But if you want to have an idea ahead of
   time, this is it:
   
    
   
   BASE SHIPPING COSTS:
   
    * The base shipping costs for the return of your graded items are as
      follows:
    * $10 for packages weighing up to 1 pound.
    * An additional $10 for each additional pound above 1 pound.
   
    
   
   TOTAL RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES:
   
    * To determine your total return shipping charges, we will calculate the sum
      of the base shipping costs and the applicable shipping insurance costs for
      each graded card.

   How do I package my cards for submission?
   
   
   In general, you should always:
   
    
   
    1. Put each card individually in a penny sleeve
    2. Then put that in a hard sleeve
    3. Then sandwich that (along with others like this) in between two pieces of
       stiff cardboard, cut about 1 inch larger than the dimensions of your
       cards. (Prob about 3X5 inches.)
    4. Tape this firmly (not too tight) with masking, wrapping or blue painter's
       tape on all sides. Do not use duct tape.
    5. Put all this in a padded envelope.
    6. Mark it with DO NOT BEND all over it.
    7. Seal and ship.

   We get it. Really. PSA is the BMOC when it comes to card grading. And with
   good reason. But just because they're the biggest, doesn't mean they're the
   only grading service you can trust. As we've said many times, we are not here
   to compete with PSA. We're here to give collectors an alternative when they
   find themselves facing a certain set of criteria. If you don't feel
   comfortable grading with a non-PSA grader, then by all means, don't. But if
   you think there might be a better path for you, then TTG is here to serve
   you, and hopefully win your trust.
   
    
   
   Are you guys really qualified to do this?
