Just want to thank NZ Rent a Car for a great service and a great car. We had
a Corolla Hybrid and around Christchurch it was perfect, so good on fuel,
would definitely hire another hybrid in the future. On the long drives to Mt
Cook, Lake Tekapo and Akaroa other than slight struggle up hills, it had
enough power for the long drives. On drop off we got a shuttle bus back to

Such a great company. I got a blown tire within my first hour of renting the
car and the company could not have been nicer. They explained that the Jack
was under the passenger seat and I was able to put the spare on drive it back
to the shop where they immediately gave me another rental. Cannot express how
professional and courteous they were and was even given advice to where to

Very cheap and very cheerful. I rented a 2008 Nissan Tiida for the almost
unheard of price of NZD$19 a day. A really willing and well maintained car
which was more than adequate for the 1300km we did in five days around
Northland. The staff at Auckland went well above and beyond when my sister
left her phone in the car. They happily dropped it back to us at the airport
not long after we let them know.

check in process which is done ahead of time so no waiting in lines or
paperwork to do. Special shout out to our driver who picked us up from the
airport and was so friendly and efficient, and to Raewyn who was great and

This is my go-to rental place. They've got some of the best prices in
Auckland's North Shore for cars. We also just used one of their moving trucks
and they definitely had the best prices for trucks. Plus you get 100km free
with your truck rental. The staff is also really friendly which makes this
place even better. When we pulled the truck back onto their lot (in the
downpour rain) they met us at the truck with an umbrella to try to keep us
dry. Would give 10 stars if I could!

Easily it was one of the best experience we have had so far with a car rental
company - and we travel a lot and hire a lot of cars in different locations,
and so are able to compare.Craig - the person in charge of this set up, is
totally customer focussed. He is friendly and does not hesitate to go out of
his way to meet a customer's requirements. For example we were travelling to
Dunedin for the first time and so casually enquired with Craig about the best
way to reach the car yard. It was a surprise to hear him offer to hand over
the car at our hotel. Not only that - he even arranged to collect the car
from our hotel at the end of the rental without charging anything extra.The
car provided was clean and in very good condition.It was a very different and
pleasant experience dealing with Craig, and this car rental outlet.

getting outside. Upon arrival at their off airport but closely located
office, they checked my DL details etc. against my web site booking and all

Best place to rent a car in Queenstown. The car was almost brand new, took
less than 10 minutes to pick the car and less than 2 minutes to return it.
The car was beautiful new Mazda CX 5 at the price you would get a basic sedan
at the other popular car rentals near the airport. I went directly to their
office which is a few mins drive from the airport. They did give me a free
ride to the airport on return. Can highly recommended them. No hassle,
excellent service. Great service.

I highly recommend this place. The car was ready when we arrived at the
rental place after being picked up at the airport by the staff from
NewZealand Rent a Car. The paper work was quick and painless and we were on
our way. On the drop off, one of the staff took us back to the airport in the
same car so we did not have to transfer bags!! Everything was done qucik and

We have been living in NZ for two years now and have taken several vacations
with car rentals. Of these, we have used the services of NZ Rent A Car twice:
in Dunedin and in Queenstown. In both instances the price was great, we were
happy with the cars, but even more so we were impressed with the service.
Nowhere else was the process in the office so quick and painless; it
virtually took 2 minutes to get our car. In Queenstown, the shuttle service
from the airport, which drives you to the office in 3 minutes, was already
waiting as we came out of the terminal, so we didn’t have to wait a minute.
The same happened when we returned the car. The staff were extremely friendly
and helpful. We would definitely use this services again when we arrive in
Queenstown next time and need to hire a car.

Recently visited Queenstown and was a little hesitant at first to try a car

These guys are awesome.Somewhere between booking my car early in 2018 and
three weeks before we were due to arrive in December for the Christmas break,
miscommunication or customer error, turns out the car was unconfirmed and was
therefore re-assigned. Other options available were two small, 4 adults and
four bags and 3 sets of golf clubs were never going to fit in a small to mid
size car 😳24 hours later and hey presto, they called me back and had managed

I would like to commend the staff at this branch and the Queenstown airport
branch on their excellent customer service. I was really impressed from the
start of the hire till the end. I made a mistake when booking by putting down
the wrong drop off location but when I rang they were quick to respond and
sorted it out straight away and kindly dropped us straight away to the
airport which was great as my husband and I were rushing to make our flight!
Well done to all. Normally, I hire off international car rental companies

fails. First time the car was delivered to where I was staying and drop off
at the Dunedin Airport was no problem. Second time, Craig met me at the

I hired to small car for 4 week's. I had arranged to pick it up from downtown
Auckland, but they actually offered and did delivere it to my hotel in the
city. We Drove it 5000klm over both north and south islands, it never missed
a beat. Handled great in the wet and A/C was fine in the heat. Was good on
petrol and held its own on hiways keeping up to speed limits. A big thanks to
the team, they even made it easy for me to add 2 extra day's rent and drop
off at airport rather than downtown. All that with such a low Dailey rate. 🙂

* I am a cheapskate so NZ Rent a Car was the obvious choice for me when wanting
a vehicle for a family holiday in New Zealand. The price was easily the
cheapest I found so I booked and gritted my teeth in anticipation of the
extra costs that were likely to come my way - but these costs did not
come.During our trip, my wife had an incident with a boom gate. I looked at
my paperwork and found the excess to be $2000 (I didn't pay the extra to
reduce this). Luckily, NZ Rent a Car looked at the photos of the damage and
told me it would only be $1500, not $2000. This was good news, I have come to
expect car rental places to just charge the full amount.Later, NZ Rent a Car
told me that the price actually came in under the $1500 quote and they
refunded me more than $400.Great customer service, even after I returned the
car.A brilliant company to do business with.

a Corolla Hybrid and around Christchurch it was perfect, so good on fuel,
would definitely hire another hybrid in the future. On the long drives to Mt

Such a great company. I got a blown tire within my first hour of renting the
car and the company could not have been nicer. They explained that the Jack
was under the passenger seat and I was able to put the spare on drive it back

Very cheap and very cheerful. I rented a 2008 Nissan Tiida for the almost
unheard of price of NZD$19 a day. A really willing and well maintained car
which was more than adequate for the 1300km we did in five days around
Northland. The staff at Auckland went well above and beyond when my sister
left her phone in the car. They happily dropped it back to us at the airport
not long after we let them know.

This is my go-to rental place. They've got some of the best prices in
Auckland's North Shore for cars. We also just used one of their moving trucks
and they definitely had the best prices for trucks. Plus you get 100km free
with your truck rental. The staff is also really friendly which makes this
place even better. When we pulled the truck back onto their lot (in the
downpour rain) they met us at the truck with an umbrella to try to keep us
dry. Would give 10 stars if I could!

Easily it was one of the best experience we have had so far with a car rental
company - and we travel a lot and hire a lot of cars in different locations,
and so are able to compare.Craig - the person in charge of this set up, is

his way to meet a customer's requirements. For example we were travelling to
Dunedin for the first time and so casually enquired with Craig about the best

one of the smaller car rental agencies, but their location was right next to
the other agencies charging twice the price. Their communication was
excellent. My little car was maybe a little older, but it was in great

We booked a SUV for our family holiday in Queenstown in December 2019. The
car was clean and in a very good condition. The staff was friendly and
supportive. Hazel free paper work.The pick-up and drop-off from airport was
quick and easy, brilliant service. Prices are very reasonable compared to
other rental car companies in Queenstown. Highly recommended.

Best place to rent a car in Queenstown. The car was almost brand new, took
less than 10 minutes to pick the car and less than 2 minutes to return it.
The car was beautiful new Mazda CX 5 at the price you would get a basic sedan
at the other popular car rentals near the airport. I went directly to their
office which is a few mins drive from the airport. They did give me a free
ride to the airport on return. Can highly recommended them. No hassle,
excellent service. Great service.
