KELLY CHRISTENSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Kelly Christensen Memorial Scholarship Navigation * Home * DONATE * Email * THE KELLY CHRISTENSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP * THE KELLY CHRISTENSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more than a decade, Kelly Baldwin Christensen served the students of Three Rivers School district as a teacher then Vice Principal at Hidden Valley before moving on to become Principal at Fruitdale Elementary. In August 2011, Kelly lost his battle with cancer leaving behind a wonderful family, along with a wide network of friends, colleagues, and students who were inspired by him. In March of 2013, we put together the Kelly Christensen Memorial Scholarship to help continue Mr. C’s legacy of commitment to others, integrity, and passion. Through the support of the Josephine Country Education Fund, faculty at Hidden Valley, and the generous donors who fondly remember Kelly we were able to establish and award our scholarship for the first time on May 22, 2013. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DONATE HERE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DONATE HERE * 2019 Kelly Christensen Memorial Scholarship Recipient Tessa Armstrong * 2019 Kelly Christensen Memorial Scholarship Recipient Tessa Armstrong CRITERIA CONSIDERED When creating this scholarship, we grappled with defining the exact qualities that made Mr. Christensen so great and how to choose a student, among dozens of qualified applicants, who embodies those traits.
