The best part of my days are when I am able to connect with our students.
Relationships are key when educating young minds. Students who feel connected to
their schools perform at higher academic rates. Whether dancing in the drop-off
zone in the morning, sitting next to a child as they read, or helping students
solve friendship struggles in a lunch bunch - I am constantly on the move.

I have consistently felt as though my colleagues are my family away from home,
and I feel a strong sense of pride to be part of a community that cares so
deeply for this city and the wellbeing of the students and families who live
here.

It is impossible to quantify the impact that the teachers have on our lives.
They uplift us, inspire us, and challenge us, but most importantly, they create
an impression on us that will carry far beyond high school. Ms. Ruggerio has
taught me invaluable lessons: to listen intently and speak thoughtfully, to be
flexible in my mindset and yet confident in my answers, and to not limit myself
to what is easy or comfortable.

There is a tremendous amount of opportunity to grow professionally and
personally in RPS 205. If you need any assistance, there's always someone
knowledgeable ready to collaborate. The district offers engaging professional
development opportunities to help you get better at your craft.
