Personal information that you provide to us is used to communicate with you and to assess our products, services, and overall customer experience. Events and Conferences: InterVision may host events that include in-person or virtual conferences, training, knowledge sharing and webinars. If the event is sponsored or co-hosted by our business partners, the information that you provide during registration may be provided to those partners. We may use this information to communicate future events and conferences that may be of interest to you or to market products and services to you. Publications: We offer various publications and materials through our website. We often require registration to provide publications to you. If you register for an InterVision publication, we will collect your first name and last name, email address, business or home address, and information about the type of business you engage in and your roles in that business. We may use this information to communicate future publications, events, and conferences that may be of interest to you or to market products and services to you. Testimonials: We solicit and display personal testimonials and corporate logos of satisfied clients on our website in addition to other endorsements. Communications: If you communicate or correspond with us by email, through postal mail, phone or through other forms of communication, including our Operations Center, we may collect the information you provide as part of those communications. For example, if you correspond with us through email, we may collect and store your email to respond to your inquiry. We may also use your personal information to log your request or complaint. Job Applications: If you are completing a job application on our website, we will collect the following types of information: * Your first and last name; * Your email addresses; * Your phone numbers (mobile and home); * Your present and past employers, job titles, and work history; * Your educational history, including degrees, professional certifications, schools attended, and GPA; * Social media information, such as your LinkedIn® profile; and * Your current or expected compensation. You may also voluntarily provide us with demographic information to self-identify with a race, ethnicity, gender, or veteran status to assist us in complying with Federal and State equal employment opportunity reporting requirements. InterVision’s “careers” site is hosted by our business partner, Clear Company. Personal information is collected for the purposes of processing your job application and is not shared. If you choose to do so, we may use the personal information you provide to us to consider you for future positions with our organization. We may communicate these job offerings to you. Information We Automatically Collect from You Cookies: We store information that we collect through cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or third-party sources to create a “profile” of your preferences. We tie your personal information and your purchasing history to information in the profile in order to provide tailored promotions and marketing offers and to improve the content of the site for you. We do not share the personal information that is contained in your profile with other third parties. We share your profile in aggregate form only. We sometimes collect non-identifiable information from visits to our website to help us provide better client service. For example, we keep track of the domains from which people visit and we also measure visitor activity on this website, but we do so in ways that keep the information non-identifiable. This information is sometimes known as “clickstream data.” InterVision or others on InterVision’s behalf may use this data to analyze trends and statistics to help us provide better client service. Also, when we collect personal data from you in a transaction, we may extract some information about that transaction in a non-identifiable format and combine it with other non-identifiable information. This information is used and analyzed only at an aggregate level to help us understand trends and patterns. This information is not reviewed at an individual level. Information Collected by Third Parties through Third Party Links and Content Frames: Some of our pages utilize framing techniques to serve content to/from our partners while preserving the look and feel of our site. The frame will redirect to a separate URL. For example, our careers site uses an embedded iframe from Clear Company to submit a job application (https://intervision.clearcompany.com/careers/jobs). Please be aware that you are providing your personal information through a 3rd party site and not directly to InterVision. Links to 3rd Party Sites: Our Site includes links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of InterVision. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit. Social Media Widgets: Our website includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook© Like button and Widgets, such as the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our site. These Features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policies of the companies providing them. USE, SHARING, RETENTION AND STORAGE OF INFORMATION A. How We Use Your Information InterVision uses personal information for the purposes described at the time of collection, to provide services to you, including order processing, technical support services, project management, system onboarding, event registration, providing publications, and addressing your requests and inquiries. Personal information collected via our job applicant site is used to process your application. Personal information collected via communications and surveys is used to evaluate and enhance our products and services. Personal information collected via website cookies is used to tailor your experience at our sites, to compile and display content and information that may interest you and to provide you with content according to those preferences. InterVision also uses your information, as permitted by law, to provide you with information about InterVision events, publications, job openings, products and services that may be of interest to you. B. Sharing Your Information with Third Parties Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy or when specifically agreed to by you, we will not disclose personal information we gather from you to third parties unless InterVision is required to share this information to complete your request or for other legitimate business purposes. InterVision shares personal information in the following circumstances: Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with vendors or third parties who provide goods and services or otherwise act on behalf of or at the direction of InterVision. These third parties may include, for example, our suppliers, channel partners, technology providers, subcontractors, event sponsors and exhibitors, and third-party event hosts and venues. These third-party service providers will only have access to the information needed to perform functions necessary to provide InterVision’s goods or services or to fulfill your request. With respect to events, if you do not wish to have your information included on an attendee list or to receive information from event sponsors, co-sponsors and/or exhibitors, you can express your preferences when you register for events or you may contact InterVision directly through privacy@intervision.com or through the Data Subject Access Form (bottom of page). Where we do share your personal information with third parties, InterVision takes steps to ensure the third party maintains appropriate safeguards to protect your data. Compliance with Legal Obligations: To the extent permitted by law, we will disclose your information to government authorities or third parties if: (a) required to do so by law or regulation, or in response to a subpoena or court order or any other enforceable governmental request or order; (b) we believe in our sole discretion that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect against fraud, to protect the property or other rights of us or other users, third parties or the public at large; or (c) we believe that you have abused our sites by using them to attack other systems or gain unauthorized access to any other system, to engage in spamming or otherwise violating applicable laws. You should be aware that, following disclosure to any third party, your information may be accessible by others to the extent permitted or required by applicable law. Aggregate Information: We may share your information with affiliated or unaffiliated third parties on an anonymous, aggregate basis. C. Retention of Your Information InterVision will retain your personal information for as long as required to satisfy our business obligations with you, or as required under applicable law. Personal information will be kept no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which your personal data is processed. D. Storage and Security of Your Information InterVision’s operations are based in the United States. By using our sites or providing any personal information to us, where applicable law permits, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of such information in the United States where data protection standards may differ from your home country. Security: The security of your information is important to us. InterVision implements physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use and disclosure. We follow security industry standards to authenticate users accessing our web applications and to protect information submitted to us during transmission and at rest. The internet, however, cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any personal information you provide to us. EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shields: Information we collect from you will be processed and stored in the United States. InterVision complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland transferred to the United States pursuant to Privacy Shield. InterVision has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles with respect to such data. If there is any conflict between the policies in this privacy policy and data subject rights under the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. To learn more about the Privacy Shield program, and to view our certification page, please visit https://www.privacyshield.gov/ With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, InterVision is subject to the regulatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, EU, UK, and Swiss individuals have the right to obtain our confirmation of whether we maintain personal information relating to you in the United States. Upon request, we will provide you with access to the personal information that we hold about you. You may also correct, amend, or delete the personal information we hold about you. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data transferred to the United States under Privacy Shield, should direct their query to privacy@intervision.com. If requested to remove data, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We will provide an individual opt-out choice, or opt-in for sensitive data, before we share your data with third parties other than our agents, or before we use it for a purpose other than which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized. To request to limit the use and disclosure of your personal information, please submit a written request to privacy@intervision.com. In certain situations, we may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. InterVision’s accountability for personal data that it receives in the United States under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transfers to a third party is described in the Privacy Shield Principles. In particular, InterVision remains responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if third-party agents that it engages to process personal data on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless InterVision proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage. In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, InterVision commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information transferred to the United States pursuant to Privacy Shield. European Union, United Kingdom, and Swiss individuals with Privacy Shield inquiries or complaints should first contact InterVision by email at privacy@intervision.com or through the Data Subject Access Form (bottom of page). InterVision has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the Privacy Shield Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, the BBB EU PRIVACY SHIELD. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY InterVision is committed to protecting the privacy needs of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. InterVision does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13, and InterVision does not target its websites to children under 13. SPECIAL NOTICE FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS This Privacy Notice for California Residents supplements the information contained in our Privacy Policy above and applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”). Penal Code § 1546 et. seq.). * Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when the information’s deletion may likely render impossible or seriously impair the research’s achievement, if you previously provided informed consent. * Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us. * Comply with a legal obligation. * Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it. Exercising Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights: To exercise the access, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by sending us a message on our website. Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child. You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the verifiable consumer request’s receipt. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance, specifically by electronic mail communication. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request. Personal information Sales Opt-Out and Opt-In Rights: We do not sell the personal information of consumers. If you are 16 years of age or older, you have the right to opt of future sales of data.
