ABOUT PROJECT SWEEP UP NYC -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OUR VISION To transform communities throughout the 5 Boroughs of New York city, to become free from garbage dumped on our streets, sidewalks, parks, within our communities and even the subway system as well. Our goal is to dramatically change and improve the environment of our great city to a place that is clean, free of random garbage and debris, so that we make our residents proud to be New Yorkers once again. ( Launching 2024 ) OUR APPROACH We are a mobile mission driven movement, transporting our workers and volunteers to neighborhoods throughout New York City, to sweep streets, clean sidewalks, pickup & remove trash and organize trash bundles one zip code at a time. Utilizing pictures & video clips emailed from residents in the city of areas that desperately need clean up and trash removal services. As a native New Yorker I think it is safe to say that we are all tired of seeing the garbage, trash and unkept streets and sidewalks of our communities. It's time to clean up New York. 2024 will be the year of a cleaner city. OUR COMMUNITY ASK As you make your way throughout the city, you will undoubtedly encounter areas that have random trash & garbage that need to be cleaned. Please take a picture along with a 30 second video of the area that needs to be addressed, send it into Project Sweep-up NYC. The images and video will be used to create targeted routes within the communities that we will be serving. We mobilize groups of hard working men, women and volunteers to high foot traffic areas within the city that need our services. The key to our success is utilizing and managing our volunteers in an organized and efficient way. Be on the lookout for our vans making their way throughout the city. THE WORK THE MISSION THE MISSION Five days a week Project Sweep Up Nyc is travelling through the city along various routes, pursuing it's mission of clean streets, sidewalks and subway system. Monday Wednesday & Friday we service one zip code, Tuesday Thursday & Saturday we service another zip code. Having a city 🏙️ that is clean will benefit both the residents and the many visitors & tourists that come to New York. OUR IMPACT THE MISSION OUR IMPACT City streets that are clean, free from garbage, dirt, trash and debris. The result is an environment that is livable and healthier for our residents. There are many restaurants, office buildings, residential spaces and parks 🏞️. The Department of Sanitation is trying it's very best to tackle this enormous task, 365 days a year. LATEST NEWS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The current administration is making a concerted effort to implement new strategies to deal with New York's rat problem. I also serve in another capacity as chairman of the board. My professional life can best be described as one of entrepreneurship and service to others. I started this organization to give something back to a city that has given so much to me.
