THE OHIO DIGITAL LIBRARY FOR KIDS & TEENS

The Ohio Digital Library now offers a "Kids eReading Room" and a "Teen eReading
Room" where kids can find books for their reading level and interests for

Do you have questions about a tablet, electronic device, or an eReader? We can
help. Bring your device to the Library on Mondays at 3:00 and we can help you
learn basic applications or features on your device. There are also free books,
audiobooks and magazines available for you to download on your device through
the Library and we can help you learn how to take advantage of these features.

MICROFILM COLLECTION NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

The Library's Microfilm collection of past Fort Recovery Journals, Fort Recovery
Records, Fort Recovery Tribunes, and Mercer County Observers are now available
to be accessed online. The collection ranges from 1893 - 1973. The collection is
scattered and does not include every issue. Please feel free to browse the
collection at fortrecovery.advantage-preservation.com. Thank you to the Friends
of the Library for the generous donation to make this project possible.

BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY SALE

The Friends of the Library is once again sponsoring a "Back To School Supply
Sale" for Fort Recovery Students who are entering grades Kindergarten through
5th Grades. Order forms have been sent home with school-age students, and extra
forms are available at the Library. Forms are due June 10, 2016, and parents
will be notified at the beginning of August to pick up completed orders. Thanks
for your support of our Fundraiser! Please contact the Library for more
information.

ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, READ!

The 2016 Summer Reading Program is happening now  through July 20th at the Fort
Recovery Public Library. The theme is "On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!" and we will
be encouraging kids to read as well as be active and eat healthy foods. Don't
miss the great events planned at your Library. Schedules are available at the
Front Desk.

PRIMITIVE TECHNOLOGY WITH WILLIAM BLALOCK

Upper Elementary students and middle school students are invited to join us at
the Library on Wednesday, June 15th at 1:00 PM for a great program.
William Blalock, a local who does Flintknapping (makes arrowheads and other
primitive stone tools), will be showing different tools that ancient man used.
