CHROME TAKING A LOT OF MEMORY EVEN WITH TAB SUSPENDER

So, the next questions become why is Google Chrome using so much memory? Why Is
Chrome causing high CPU usage? Why are multiple Chrome processes slowing down my
computer?Īfter thinking about this for a couple of minute and Googling for a
couple minutes more, I realized that each of the tabs I have open in Chrome are
being treated as a separate process, and are consuming their own allocated
resources. Seriously, Chrome? You are running 13 different process that are
consuming a TON of resources on my machine? Google Chrome in the task manager
shows multiple instances and high CPU and memory usage When I did that, I saw
something very, very interesting.Ĭhrome. The best way to see what is using all
those CPU cycles is to switch to the Processes tab and then order the CPU column
from highest to lowest by clicking the column header twice. As you can see from
the image below, my CPU cycles are really high…that’s what I’m trying to figure
out. You can see how your CPU(s) are performing by selecting the Performance
tab. You can open the Task Manager by choosing Ctrl + Shift + Esc. Since the
easy stuff was done, but my CPU was still cycling high, I turned to the Windows
Task Manager to see what might be causing the issue. Unfortunately, it didn’t
really help speed up my computer, so I had to continue the search. I followed my
own advice and used Defragler to clean up my hard drive space. Just to make sure
that disk fragmentation wasn’t slowing the computer down. The final step I took
was to defragment my hard drive. Took 30 minutes using the CCleaner tool,
cleaned up quite a few old registry keys, but no luck in calming down my CPU.
Since I didn’t find any offending malware installed, my next step was to clean
my registry in case there were old registry keys that were mis-pointed or just
out of date that would be hurting the performance. Here are links to a couple of
tools that offer free trials that will get you going: If your computer is
running slow, the first step is to run a spyware scan. BTW, if your PC is
running slow and you haven’t run a spyware check recently, now would be a good
time to do it. I spent a considerable amount of time looking for spyware to see
if some malicious little software spy had been installed, but came up empty. As

Your character is quite heavy, making for a slower paced and methodical
experience. You can run and jump to cross greater distances, and can also grab
onto edges. Platforming was never excruciatingly difficult, but stayed
interesting and varied enough to keep things from getting boring.There is also
lots of puzzle solving present in Black the Fall. While it starts out very
simple with most puzzles coming down to switch flipping, early on, you gain
control of a laser pointer “Designator Tool” that you can use to control other
workers, and you can even use it to control a little robot dog-like sidekick you
encounter partway through the game, who has an easier time getting through areas
populated with enemies undetected.Puzzles are quite varied, and you’ll rarely be
doing the same thing twice in the game. This Designator tool also has quite a
sense of irony to it you are breaking out of a regime that is oppressive and
controlling of people by using that tool to control and command your peers.The
game’s sound and world design are also great. Whether you are in the dark and
dreary starting area, or you are experiencing the outside world, the game visual
design stays incredibly varied and detailed, and has a ton of depth. So would I
recommend this? No, I wouldn't, unless if you are really into puzzle games and
want a steep, unintuitive challenge.The world also uses its lighting and colors
to aide the player almost every situation, with shadows sometimes being used to
signifying things like an off-screen platform, and using the color red to
clearly mark and enemy or obstacle.Whether you are in the dark and dreary

very atmospheric, whether you are hearing the mechanical sounds of the world in

encountered the cupboard lock will understand immediately what I mean. I would
have rated it lower but I can't side step the fact that I came to it expecting
an easy experience and simply wasn't in the mood for a steep mental challenge so
it might well be possible that on another day I could have appreciated it a lot
better, but I can only review what I played how and when I played it and I
simply just wasn't impressed by how ridiculous how the information was expected
to be interpreted. The game is just an opaque series of puzzles with no real
satisfaction in the solutions.

What I mean by this is that there were times where I couldn't tell if I was
doing something wrong because I wasn't clicking the right pixel on something,
there were other times where the solution to a puzzle was so disconnected from
the puzzle itself that it was almost a surprise and still confusing after
looking up the solution in a guide.

Because of how the game is made nearly everything is lacking in information or
can be ridiculously difficulty to discern both intention and solution. The thing
I was wrong about is it being a quick and easy puzzle game, it is anything but.
Lume is a little point and click adventure puzzle game seemingly built in real
life cardboard and filmed like an FMV, if it wasn't then in that regard its very
technically impressive, either way though it's a unique and cute little
aesthetic that it does well enough.

I was expecting because it was short that it was a quick and easy write off
experience but boy was I wrong. 50% PCI only loaded this up at the end of June
because it was listed as a short game and I wanted something to round out my
completions for the month.

Decapitate it! This is one of the best distortion plugins out there for adding
extra saturation to your guitar tone. It has 5 different saturation modes and an
EQ section which allows you to shape the tone of the saturated signal. Soundtoys
Decapitatorĭecapitator by Soundtoys is a saturation/distortion plugin that
emulates everything from tape machines, output tubes, and channel strips. I
don’t like sharing exact settings, but I usually highpass around 50 Hz to get
rid of the unnecessary low end, and I often boost a tiny bit around 1.6 kHz to
make the guitars sound a little more open. Therefore, I use the 1073 very subtly
to give the signal just a tiny bit of that magical Neve color. So it pays to be
sensible with the settings here. An obvious downside to this is that as soon as
the signal has been recorded you can’t change the Scheps 73’s settings. This
“prints” the effect just as if I had recorded with a real preamp straight into
my DAW.

I typically use the Scheps 73 in my recording FX chain, meaning I run my guitars
through it before it is recorded. This means you can get away with doing drastic
moves on the EQ section without it sounding bad. Many mixing engineers love
recording through this preamp because the transformer does something magical to
the low end of a signal, and the EQ section is very musical.

The 1073 has become a staple of preamplifiers and is known for its rich and
colorful sound. The Waves Scheps 73 emulates one of Andrew Scheps’ personal Neve
1073 preamps. Each of them are outstanding in their own right.

However, these are the 7 best plugins for mixing guitars that I’ve come across
