ANNOUNCING THE ARRIVAL OF RAMADAN 1445H / 2024

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Grantor of Mercy.

All praise is due to Allah, and may His peace and blessings be upon the
Messenger of Allah. To proceed:

Due to the sighting of the Ramadan crescent in several Muslim countries, AMJA
announces that Monday, March 11th, 2024, will be the first day of Ramadan.

The assembly, through its fatwa committee, issues this announcement to the
Muslims of the United States. We pray to Allah, the Majestic, the Most High, to
accept the righteous deeds of us all, and we beseech Him to alleviate the
suffering of the nation of Muhammad at large, and especially to support our
oppressed brothers and sisters in Gaza and other afflicted Muslim regions. We
also pray for the fulfillment of His promise to them by granting them rescue and
victory.

Allah is All-Knowing of people’s intentions, and He is the one who guides to the
straight path.

بيان مجمع فقهاء الشريعة بأمريكا بخصوص دخول شهر رمضان المبارك سنة 1445 هـ ‎

الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله وبعد

حيث إن هلال شهر رمضان قد رئي في عدد من الدول الإسلامية فإن مجمع فقهاء الشريعة
بأمريكا يعلن أن يوم الاثنين 11 مارس هو أول أيام شهر رمضان المبارك 1445 هـ

وإن المجمع ممثلا في لجنته الدائمة للإفتاء إذ يعلن هذا البيان على مسلمي الولايات
المتحدة ليبتهل إلى الله جل وعلا أن يرفع البلاء عن أمة محمد عامة، وعن إخوتنا في
غزة وغيرها من بلاد المسلمين المأزومة، بارك الله للمسلمين أجمعين في شهرهم، ووفقهم
فيه إلى الصالح من القول والعمل، وتقبله منهم بقبول حسن، وأعاده عليهم وعلى الأمة
قاطبة بالخير واليمن والبركات، والله من وراء القصد وهو الهادي إلى سواء السبيل.
