O'HENRY BARS 🎅

🍪 Ingredients:

 * 1 cup light corn syrup

 * 1 cup sugar

 * 1 cup peanut butter

 * 6 cups Special K cereal

 * 6 oz chocolate chips

 * 12 oz butterscotch chips

Directions: Simmer light corn syrup and sugar on the stove until it bubbles,
take off the stove and add peanut butter and Special K into the pot, and mix.
Put the combined mixture in a 9x13 buttered pan. Next, melt cholate and
butterscotch chips in the microwave (usually 60-90 seconds). It should have a
frosting look when done. Spread over the cereal mixture in the pan, and chill
for 4-5 hours before serving.

Consider what and how your going to do it too and the platform. Some may prefer

SPOT THE BOT: AI OR AUTHENTIC? 🤔 (MONTHLY CHALLENGE)

THINK YOU CAN OUTSMART AI? SEE IF YOU CAN GUESS RIGHT!

With AI revolutionizing Social Media, it’s harder to distinguish between
influencers powered by artificial intelligence and real-life creators.

INFLUENCER A:

 * Posts stunning fashion and lifestyle content.

 * Has over 250,000 followers on Instagram.

INFLUENCER B:

 * A skincare guru sharing beauty routines and wellness tips.

 * Known for her down-to-earth vibe and relatable content.

Drumroll, please… 🥁🥁

 * Influencer A is Aitana López, Spain's first fully AI-generated influencer
designed to promote lifestyle and fashion brands. Created by The Clueless,
Aitana blends into the influencer scene with her hyper-realistic aesthetic
   and curated content.

 * Influencer B is Elle McNamara, also known as "Bambi Does Beauty," a human
skincare influencer beloved for her genuine approach and relatable
   storytelling.

3 Insights for Social Media's Future:

 * AI influencers like Aitana provide brands with control, scalability, and
innovation, but they can sometimes lack the human touch that builds trust and
   deeper connections.

 * On the other hand, real-life creators like Elle bring warmth and relatability
that resonate with audiences on a personal level.

 * The future of influencer marketing lies in striking the perfect balance
between technology and authenticity. Could your next campaign feature both?

Think you can always tell the difference? Well, AI might surprise you next time!

SEEKING TIPS TO KEEP TRAINING ENGAGING.

I am new to being a training designer. In my field of training, we need go over
a lot of the same things over and over. It can get really boring and people stop
paying attention. This is problematic because it is really important
information! Does anyone have tips on how to keep online training engaging? I am
currently using Articulate 360 to create them. Thank you!!!

Maybe you can apply some gamification to the training to make it fun. Maybe
award badges and achievements. Things like that.

Coursera offers a free Gamification online course that you might find useful to
come up with some more ideas to make the training fun.

START THE NEW YEAR WITH A FINANCIAL PLAN

With going home for Thanksgiving and looking forward to Christmas and the
semester end, its easy to forget about the new year. Just a few months from now
the new semester starts, nor courses, books, schedule, etc. Expenses also can
change, particularly if you're living off campus. Mid-semester is NOT the time
to try to get your money issues dealt with. Credit card bills, car bills,
Christmas bills all hit about the time of mid-terms. Surprises are not fun.

So, while you're home and not working on papers or projects, do a simple
budget/financial plan for the first six months of the new year. You already have
an idea of what your monthly expenses are now and they should stay steady. Books
and fees may be an issue. Income taxes are due in April, other fees and expenses
are predictable. That becomes your plan for next semester. If it shows a
shortage, you can start working on it now. (Maybe spending less on presents now
or arranging for smaller fees in January.) If you wait until next semester to
deal with the problem, you will have fewer options. Planning for it now gives
you more options and more time to work on the problem. A very good Christmas
present for yourself.

I fully agree, financial planning is key for anyone living on a tiny budget and
have to stretch ones funds. So make a good plan and better to be early then
late. The book cost for each semester can be really high and do not even get me
started with the cost of having a car in Denmark.

NEW HACK DISABLES WEBCAM LIGHT, BUT STILL ENABLES VIDEO RECORDING

Recently, a hacker was able to develop a method to disable the Webcam activity
light and still record video on a ThinkPad laptop. This method can also be used
on other brands of laptops. Thankfully, most recent Lenovo laptops with built-in
Webcams have a physical lens cover for enhanced security.

TEACHING & LEARNING TO DEVELOP FOR IOS /SWIFT

Hi everyone!

I have good number of students who are interested in learning to develop apps
for iOS. I've got a few modern Mac Minis and would like to help them get
started.

What are some of the best learning resources for:
1) Learning (independently) to develop for iOS/Swift
2) Teaching development with iOS/Swift

I'm hoping to glean some helpful resources from the community - thanks in
advance!

PS - I realize that this is a non-Lenovo product focused post but I hope people
don't mind!

Apple iOS development requires Xcode, and Xcode only runs on MacOS. MacOS is
designed in such a way that it can only be installed on Apple hardware (and
possibly on a pre-Apple Silicon, Intel-based Hackintosh, but I wouldn't
recommend it). For your Mac Minis, you'll find plenty of iOS / Swift development
information on the Apple Developer website: https://developer.apple.com

A Lenovo laptop / PC would be more useful for developing Windows desktop apps
and / or Android mobile apps.

Free Microsoft Visual Studio Community Edition (can be used for Android
development also): https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/community

Free Alphabet / Google Android Studio: https://developer.android.com/studio

WHAT APPS OR TOOLS DO YOU USE TO STAY ORGANIZED AND MANAGE YOUR TIME BETTER?

I use Pomofocus as a focus timer to stay on track with study sessions, using the
Pomodoro technique to break work into 25-minute intervals. Todoist helps me
organize assignments and deadlines for task management. Google Calendar keeps
all my class schedules and events in one place, with reminders so I don’t miss
anything. I also use Notion for detailed note-taking and project tracking, and
Forest to stay off my phone—each focused session grows a virtual tree, which
keeps me motivated. What tools or apps do you find most helpful for staying
organized?

and calendar to get reminded of all the jobs i have to do during a day, as if i
don't follow the schedule, time will be quickly running out and i won't be able
to do it all during the day :S

I'll have to look into some of the apps others have mentioned. I'm just
utilizing Google stuff like docs and timers on my phone, but I'm always down to
try new stuff if it is seamless. I've been thinking about getting into obsidian
too. For those who want to get into a more advanced version of docs, I hear it's
really good.

Otherwise, the abikity to work on docs from multiple devices seamlessly is kinda
amazing for Google docs. I think obsidian can do it too but you may have to pay
for thay kind of cloud storage (app and all features are free for personal use
though)

Which specific models are you looking at? Or rather, what are their exact specs?

Gaming performance is largely determined by the GPU, so if one of them offers a
better GPU at a similar price point, I'd definitely choose that one. If they
have the same GPU, my preference would be the Ryzen model for better battery
life.
