WELCOME




It is a great pleasure and honour for me to welcome you to the website of the
Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Eswatini in Geneva. We are grateful that the
development of this website falls squarely within the vision and cooperation
strategy of our Government especially in the wake of the pandemic wherein
everything has to be adapted to the uncertainties and unpredictability of the
environment we live in.

We are committed to advancing the national interest of the beautiful kingdom
both bilaterally and multilaterally, whilst also looking after the welfare of
our citizens in the diaspora. This website is also a window to the Kingdom of
Eswatinis rich culture, trade, tourism and the economy.

The Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Eswatini to the United Nations in Geneva
would like to reiterate the importance of cooperation and synergies with other
Missions here in Geneva and across the globe.

It is my sincere hope that as you navigate the website you will be able to
better understand and experience the unique culture of the people of the Kingdom
of Eswatini and what Eswatini can offer.

ABOUT THE PERMANENT MISSION

The Permanent Mission is accredited to the United Nations Office and a number
of other International Organisations based in Geneva. The Permanent Mission is
also accredited to other International Organisations based in
Austria, France and Italy. In addition, the Mission also has bilateral
accreditation with Austria, Hungary, Russian Federation, Switzerland and
Ukraine.


OBJECTIVES

The Permanent Missions objectives are:

 * To canvass and co-ordinate high level bilateral political engagements between
   the Government of Eswatini leadership and Heads of International
   Organizations as well as their counterparts from the United Nations Member
   States.
 * To represent the Kingdom of Eswatini and raise its profile in all the United
   Nations Organizations and other International Organizations
 * To strengthen and deepen the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of
   Eswatini and the countries of accreditation.
 * To promote and market the Kingdom of Eswatini as a destination for foreign
   capital (investment)
   To promote and portray a positive image for the Kingdom of Eswatini;
 * To protect and/or defend the interest of the Kingdom in countries of
   accreditation and other International fora.
