PRIVATE EMPLOYER TRUE-UP IS NOW AVAILABLE!

Private employers, true-up is now available! At the end of the policy year, we
must ensure the estimated premium we set for you was correct. To do this, you
must file a true-up report that reflects the actual payroll for that policy
year. You must complete the report online using the payroll true-up report
service offering by Aug. 15, 2024. We have a step-by-step video available for
you to walk you through the process.

If your true-up exceeds the estimated payroll you'll owe additional premium. If
your true-up payroll is less than your estimated payroll, you'll receive a
premium credit.

DO YOU HAVE ZERO PAYROLL?

New this year! If you have reported zero payroll and no employees in the past,
we may waive true-up reporting. You will be notified if you are eligible for
this waiver. If you continue to have no employees, you are not required to
submit a true-up report for the policy year beginning July 1, 2023. We will
complete the true-up report on your behalf and report $0 in payroll.

NEWS BRIEFS

Transitional Work Grant Program, what you need to know!

The Transitional Work Grant program is an employer program that helps transition
injured workers back to work and back to life.

The goal of a Transitional Work Grant Program is to facilitate the recovery and
return of an employee back to work as soon as medically appropriate, following
an injury. Although the Transitional Work Bonus Program is phasing out over the
next three years, the Transitional Work Grant is not.

 Grant basics

Transitional Work Grants are for companies ranging from 11 to 200+ employees. We
reimburse employers the cost to develop their customized program. The employer
hires and works with one of BWC’s accredited transitional work developers to
develop their program tailored for their company. Our grant is renewable every
five years.

To apply for a grant, complete the online Transitional Work Grant
(TWG-1) application or submit the paper TWG-1 (PDF) via email to our
 transitional work department.

Employers not eligible for a grant may email our transitional work department to
receive BWC resources that help your company develop your own transitional work
plan.
