French language Confirmation will take place Fall 2022 and English Language Confirmation will take place in spring of 2023. READY... Confirmation is the sacrament by which Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation. WHY DOES CONFIRMATION MATTER? WHY DO I HAVE TO PREPARE? Confirmation preparation is for learning the next steps that will lead to a better you. Preparing for Confirmation is learning how to be a disciple of Christ, because we believe that's the path to a fuller and more fulfilling life. In the Catholic faith, Confirmation is the sacrament that completes baptism by strengthening and sealing the graces bestowed at baptism. DO I HAVE TO MAKE CONFIRMATION? You don't have to do this. It's a choice. It's your choice. You get to do this! At our parish, teens don't enroll in Confirmation... they apply for it. * SET WHAT IS THE PROCESS AT WLSC (ST. JEROME, STE. ANNE, GOOD SHEPHERD, ST. SIMON & ST. JUDE)? Fall French language Confirmation will include a parent & candidate kick-off meeting (details forthcoming) in the Fall. The English Language will be in the Spring. This is an opportunity for both teens and parents to hear about the entire experience and ask any questions you may have about preparing for Confirmation. I ALREADY HAVE A SPONSOR. Wait! Thinking about a sponsor already? Information about choosing a sponsor will be given at the kick-off evening, so please do not ask someone to be your Confirmation sponsor before this meeting. WE WILL PREPARE IN… Candidates will participate in the Kick-off event and a day Retreat. More details after you register. You will have an awesome opportunity to have fun and explore faith with others your own age. * GO There are two things you need before starting the application... There are two things you need before starting the application... a profile picture of the candidate (please save the profile photo & baptismal certificate with the candidates first and last name,.
