OUR MISSION IS TO ADVANCE THE CYBER-SECURITY PRACTICES IN CHARITIES, SOCIAL
ENTERPRISES, AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT-ORGANISATIONS BY PROVIDING PRO-BONO
   CONSULTANCY SERVICES

 * WHAT WE DO

The ubiquity of and reliance on technology in organisations’ operations and
business models comes with security challenges. Organisations need to
safeguard against cyber-adversity to protect their critical information.
However, competing demands on time and resources often result in inadequate
security measures – especially in the not-for-profit sector.

Recognising this challenge, we seek to enhance cyber-security practices in
charities, social enterprises, and not-for-profit-organisations by providing
pro-bono consultancy services. Our objective is to help mitigate cyber-risks
by raising awareness, assisting with policy and governance, and advising on
   preventive security measures.

   OUTREACH: VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY SECTOR FORUM

OXSECURE WITH ASTONS ONLINE AND BSC AT FUNDING AND INFORMATION FAIR

It was our pleasure to learn about the important and inspiring work of local
and regional charities at the voluntary community sector forum in Didcot. The
event saw about 150 representatives from different charities attending
workshops throughout the day. A big thanks goes to Astons Online and
Brunskill Security Consulting (BCS) who invited us to tag along and to
jointly talk about IT and Cyber Security matters.

   PROJECT: DATA PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT

   SECTOR: HEALTH - INCLUSION | SIZE: <25

While generally being ready for GDPR, this charity undertook a larger
revision of their data management processes. We consulted on data protection
related aspects of database management, email encryption, and device (desktop
and mobile) management. We are grateful to have had this opportunity.

   SESSION: LUNCH & LEARN

THE NEW GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION IS COMING INTO EFFECT.

Five Oxfordshire based charities followed our invitation to discuss GDPR
related issues. The event offered the opportunity to share GDPR related
experiences and to discuss remaining concerns. The feedback on the event was
very positive. As a result OxSecure will provide further advice to some of
the attending charities, and we are looking forward to hosting similar events
   in the future.

   PROJECT: WEBLEARNING AND WEBSITE

   SECTOR: HEALTH - WEBLEARNING | SIZE: <25

Medical knowledge is in short supply in too many parts of the world. This
not-for-profit connects doctors and students across the globe to lessen the
imbalance. We have conducted a review of the charity’s weblearning tool, as
well as website and suggested solutions to decrease downtime and technical
difficulties to maximise the charity’s reach and impact.
