GIVE AN HOUR FOR EARTH

EXPLORE THE HOUR BANK

 * 78,498 HOURS GIVEN IN THE U.S.

What if an hour wasn’t just an hour...but the spark we need for change? Earth
Day, held on April 22 every year, is a moment to give back to the planet that
gives us so much.

In celebration, we’re calling on you to spend an hour or more doing something
positive for the planet. Help the U.S. reach our goal of more than 100,000 hours
given to Earth.

EXPLORE WAYS TO GIVE AN HOUR FOR EARTH

It’s easy to take part. Browse the list of activities below, choose your action,
and spend an hour or more participating in your activity. Your hour will go
toward the national hour count.

FROM EARTH HOUR, EARTH DAY, AND BEYOND

Nature provides the air we breathe, the water we drink, and countless other
resources. But the future of nature is uncertain; we're losing forests,
wildlife, freshwater, and more at an unprecedented rate.

The Earth Day theme this year, Planet vs. Plastics, emphasizes the importance of
keeping plastics out of nature, for planetary and human health. Every day,
plastic is flowing into our natural environment – harming wildlife, ecosystems,
and the livelihoods of many people. As the plastics crisis spreads, we must take
action.

Every hour dedicated to the planet brings hope for generations to come.
