Bill C-277 received a unanimous vote (324-0) at its second reading. This means
it’s at the committee stage and then off to the senate. More than ever, the
brain injury community needs to stand strong with a united voice. By sharing
personal stories, and insights from organizations, we can help shape a national
strategy that prioritizes brain injury awareness, prevention, and care. Every
submission brings us closer to comprehensive legislation that addresses the
needs of brain injury survivors and their families.

Let’s unite our voices and ensure that Bill C-277 becomes a reality. Your

INVITATION TO CANADIAN SURVIVORS, FAMILY MEMBERS, AND CAREGIVERS


BE A PART OF THE 125 DAYS TO SAY YES! CAMPAIGN

In January 2024, we launch the “125 Days to Say Yes!” campaign. This initiative
is a transformative drive designed to catalyze support and swift action towards
the realization of the National Strategy on Brain Injury Act (Bill C-277) with
the government of Canada. The campaign coincides with the 125 days the House of
Commons will be sitting from January to December in 2024.

CULTIVATING COMMUNITY IS CULTIVATING KINDNESS

BCBIA was pleased to release a new video on an amazing garden project in Langley
at it's AGM on September 15th. The video features the Kreiter family and
demonstrates the amazing benefits of creating community.

Cultivating Kindness is the story behind Opportunity Landing, a non-profit
society dedicated to developing and maintaining a space for inclusive,
accessible community gardens in Langley BC.
