The AlamatXY is the latest application developed by the JUPEM which provides
process of transforming a description of a location—such as a pair of
coordinates, an address, or a name of a place—to a location on the earth's
surface.

How can I access AlamatXY?

You can access AlamatXY via the web portal or download the mobile app available
on both Google Play and iOS app store.

Can I Share my location with others?

Yes. AlamatXY Website can be shared to such platforms as a shared link.
Meanwhile for Mobile AlamatXY can be shared to such platforms as Waze, Google
Map, and WhatsApp.

Can I download data from AlamatXY?

Data can be downloaded from AlamatXY while using Batch Geocoding.

Can I use AlamatXY on my Mobile Device?

Yes. AlamatXY has a responsive design in order to work on smartphones and
tablets.

What is Geocoding?

Geocoding is the process of transforming a description of a location—such as a
pair of coordinates, an address, or a name of a place—to a location on the
earth's surface

What is Reverse Geocoding?

Reverse Geocoding Is converting latitude/longitude coordinates to a mapped
address.

What is Single Geocoding?

Single Geocoding is the process of taking a text-based description of a
location, such as an address or the name of a place, and returning geographic
coordinates, frequently latitude/longitude pair, to identify a location on the
Earth's surface

What is Batch Geocoding?

The processing of many addresses into geographic coordinates at once known as
batch geocoding

Will there be any charges to use the AlamatXY app?

No, AlamatXY app is free for everyone.

Do users need to register to browse the AlamatXY app?

Users need to register AlamatXY app if their searching is over limit.

Will the uploaded data be stored in this system?

No, the uploaded data will not be stored in this system.

Does the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) provides specific
training regarding the use of this system? And how to apply for such training?

Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) provides this application
training and for agency that are interested. They can submit a formal
application letter to the Director General of JUPEM.

How to contact the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) to report
difficulties while using the application?

Users can report issues or difficulties while accessing the app on Feedback &
Complaint in the left side bar.

How to use Batch Geocoding

User has to fill in the template given by order as in the information below: i.
House Number ii. Street Name iii. Locality/ City iv. Postcode v. Cityname vi.
State Example: i. 34, JALAN SINARAN INDAH 1, TAMAN SURIA 2, 06000 JITRA KEDAH

How many addresses I can geocode at a time using batch geocoding?

AlamatXY offering address geocoding services to government agencies and the
public user. The geocoding process can be carried out single/ reverse or in
batch and the output of this process is the geographical details at the exact
location along with the attributes such as street name, city, postcode, and the
coordinate of the location.
