A MATHEMATICAL MODEL TO TREAT PSORIASIS

Researchers at Jadavpur University, have developed a mathematical model that can
predict the way psoriasis progresses during treatment, provide optimal treatment
solutions and also calculate any future triggers.

HOW CELLS ALLOCATE RESOURCES WHEN THEY FACE SHORTAGES

SNEHA KHEDKAR

Researchers, led by Sunil Laxman, Institute for Stem Cell Science and
Regenerative Medicine, Bengaluru, have experimentally shown that cells follow
principles of economics when they encounter nutrient limitation. Their results
provide an economic framework for prioritisation strategies used by cells on
facing nutrient limitation.
