TI Connect™ is computer software that allows for connectivity between a computer
and graphing calculator. Transfer data, update your Operating System (OS),
download Calculator Software Applications (Apps), and more to your graphing
calculator. Ti connect 1.50 programs found.

We appreciate your patience. I use a TI-84 Plus (recently upgraded to version
2.55) and a TI-89 Titanium on a regular basis for school, and I create my own
programs for my benefit. I have connected both calculators to my PC with TI
Connect multiple times without a problem to sync programs and rearrange files,
but I want to use TI Connect X for Mac to use the new version with a program
editor.

Upon installing TI-Connect and connecting my calculator(s) to the computer, I
receive no indication that my calculator is seen by the application. Only after
turning off and then back on my calculator do I get this message: It reads:
'Alert - A device was connected, but we could not communicate with it for some
reason.' This has happened with both my calculators every time I try.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, used different cables, downloaded the
software again, and connected to different usb ports, all to no avail. I sought
out help from TI for this, and it was concluded that the problem was probably
with my MacBook Pro because I am still able to connect to my PC and my friends'
Macs, under the same conditions. Does anyone know of a reason for why my TI-84
Plus and/or TI-89 Titanium cannot connect to my new MacBook Pro using the TI
Connect X software? Ok, so I went to Best Buy in an attempt to buy a TI cable
hoping this would fix the problem.

One of the guys from the Geek Squad told me TI's accessory products are not
proprietary so it shouldn't matter what cable I used and directed me to the cell
phone area for a generic USB-to-mini cable as they did not sell TI cables. I
bought one for good measure just to make sure I didn't have a bad cable at home.
STILL the same problem and error. I sent TI a message through their website
trying to get help on the issue and this is what they said: 'First, I would like
to inform you that Texas Instruments has not tested this software on your
platform. It was last updated to work with Macintosh 10.6.4 OS.

While we will continue to troubleshoot any issues that may arise I am not able
to guarantee that a solution may be available. Since you have Snow Leopard OS I
am assuming that you either have 10.6.5 - 10.6.8 OS, if I am incorrect please
correct me so that I continue troubleshooting. At this point, our software
developers have become aware of an issue with our software and your platform.
They are working on possible solutions for a possible future update to the
software.

Unfortunately, I do not have an estimated time frame as to when this update may
become available. I do apologize for any inconvenience that this may have
caused.' I definitely have 10.6.8 so I guess I'll be waiting for the software
developers to do their thing. If you've got 10.6.4 then you should contact TI
for more help. Update to last: So, I remembered that my wife's MBP has Windows
XP w/Bootcamp installed on it. I install the TI Connect software from TI,
connect my 89, and viola. Why didn't I think of this sooner.

One caveat: the cable I purchased from Best Buy still seemed to not allow TI
Connect to see my calculator. So I reverted back to my camera cable which has
what I believe to be an adapter (small cylindrical object close to mini-B end)
and everything worked fine. It's definitely a software issue on TI's Mac OSX
developing side of the house because everything works as advertised with
Windows; even on a Mac. I still wonder, though, if the name brand TI cable would
resolve the inconsistent cable issue I still seem to have.

But everything's working for me now so I'm happy enough. Hope this helps. Apple

HOW TO CREATE SMALL CAPS IN WORD FOR MAC

We appreciate your patience. Currently I must use this menu path every time:
Format > Font > Capitalization > Small Caps. This command converts a unit of
type designed for the weight and width of a baseline capital, scaling the unit
of type down in size. Scaling the unit of size down in size is down without
visual compensation for legibility, so the weight and width is now too light and
less legible. The command is there to do two things: support fake small capitals
in fonts that don't have true small capitals, and support fake small capitals in
fonts that do have true small capitals that cannot be used in PDF because the
true small archives will be unsearchable. Typographically speaking, this is a
sad and sorry state of affairs.

This code i used to create binary file: I want to insert table format in that
word document. In addition to sentence case, lowercase and uppercase, you can
capitalize each word or toggle the case. In order to get the small caps, you
have to go through a few more steps. Right-click on the selected text and choose
Font. Now you can check the Small caps box to get small caps text.

Type production people do not agree about whether small capitals are glyph
variants drawn off lower case or are glyph variants drawn off upper case. When
small capitals are faked, they are drawn by faking from capitals, so the
opposite of small capitals in that case is capitals.

Small capitals are often done as glyph variants drawn off lower case in line
layout, so in typography the opposite can be lower case. There is a titling case
in fine typography. This case is shorter than upper case and taller than lower
case. Titling case is used where the difference between capitals and small
capitals is too visually disturbing, e.g. So a titling capital is used first in
the word instead of a true capital. From my point of view, the opposite of a
menu item is the one which reset the status which was available before the
triggering of the menu item.

If a text was typed in uppercase and the user triggered the menu item *Small
caps*, resetting the original status may done only by triggering the menu item
none. If we trigger an other menu item, we aren't doing the opposite, we are
applying an other calculated style. If a text was typed in Uppercase and the
user triggered the menu item Lowercase then trigger the menu item *Small caps*,
the opposite would be to trigger the menu item Lowercase. So, from my point of
vue, the true response is: the opposite of the menu item *Small caps* is one of
the three other menu items in the Capitalization menu.
