NEW EXHIBIT COMING SOON

Coming this fall to the Hagen History Center is a yet to be named hunting and
fishing exhibit. With the goal of shedding light to Erie County’s history of
outdoor traditions, we would like to ask any in the community who are willing to
donate or loan items for this exhibit step forth and contact us.

Items of interest to the exhibit are:

 * Taxidermy objects such as bear, deer, or rabbits or buckskins and such
 * Antique/older hunting apparel
 * Older Game commission maps, licenses, brochures
 * Traps for various animals for example rabbit, beaver, martin/mink
 * Antique firearm advertisements/catalogs
 * Antique ammunition boxes/advertisements
 * Old hunter safety course materials
 * Antique fishing/ Ice fishing gear
 * Antique woodsman equipment

If you have any of these objects and are willing to donate or loan them to the
Hagen History Center, please contact curator Becky Weiser at
bweiser@eriehistory.org.

NOW OPEN

Pop in to the second floor of the Watson-Curtze Mansion to see Erie true crime
history through the end of October.

You'll see:

-the original court transcript of the Alton V. Hover trial - Hover would be
found guilty of the murder of his wife

-EERIE in Pulp - the Pulp Crime Magazine Collection belonging to author Justin
Dombrowski that includes articles relating to the the 1950s Torch Murder of
George Harrington, The 1963 strangulation murder of Mary Lynn Crotty, the 1964
Murder of Marian Graham, the 1967 murder of Connie Rae Carstater, the 1953
Disappearance of Doris Hatch and others
