INTEGRATED CARE DELIVERY FORUM - LONDON Home Speakers Sponsors Tickets Venue Sign In INTEGRATED CARE DELIVERY FORUM - LONDON Nov 05, 2024 London, England - United Kingdom Register Now 1 1 0 Days 2 3 Hours 4 1 Minutes 5 8 Seconds WHY ATTEND? PPP’s third phase of its integrated care policy programme centres around the Integrated Care Delivery Forum 2024. Following a successful May event in Birmingham earlier this year, the third phase concludes with another full day in-person event, this time hosted in London. The Integrated Care Delivery Forum 2024 builds on the foundations of the ICS Roadshow and ICS Delivery Forum 2023, continuing to connect key health and care stakeholders for vital debate and networking on the future of integrated care. By connecting ICS leaders with on the ground innovators and industry experts, the Delivery Forum helps local systems grapple with workforce challenges and service pressures. The Forum is a unique platform to discover best practice and discuss new system transformation models. A new government with a fresh mandate provides new opportunities to transform health and care services. As such, the London Integrated Care Delivery Forum will be a more than timely event, providing stakeholders with a platform to debate the big issues facing the sector. The Delivery Forum will consist of three major theatres, each of which tackling a specific topic area and hosting carefully selected arrays of sector leaders. THE THREE THEATRES System transformation theatre Integrated care systems are only just entering their second year of existence and are at differing levels of maturity. While some ICSs have made good progress in developing system-level approaches to service delivery, they have all been hindered by wider service pressures, financial constraints and workforce shortages. The system transformation theatre tackles some of the big debates in integrated care and will highlight new opportunities for wider sector reform. This is where senior system leaders will update local and national audiences on the progress of integrated care and how the sector is collaborating to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities. Medicines and care pathways theatre With the arrival of a government who pledge to move health and care delivery ‘closer to home’ and shift the NHS to a ‘Neighbourhood Health Service’, the role of pharmacy, as a service embedded within local communities, could not be clearer. The sector is already undergoing significant transformation, through expansion to services and workforce reform - which require continued support. However, more broadly, the sector is up against huge challenges. As well as reducing patient access to medicine, medicines shortages place a huge strain on the workforce, causing stress and interrupting day-to-day service delivery. Current contractual and commissioning arrangements also impede the delivery of patient centric and value-based medicines optimisation, which has the potential to improve outcomes and healthcare utilisation. Further, the sector faces significant workforce shortages and financial pressures, which have contributed to the closure of premises at record level. To enable pharmacy to take a strategic role in the delivery of health and care and go further to contribute to the delivery of integrated care, its most critical challenges must be addressed. This is paramount to enable successful service delivery, improved patient outcomes and retained public confidence. As the future of the pharmacy sector and its leadership come under increasing debate, now is the time for key stakeholders to engage in this vital conversation. Join Chief Pharmacists, primary care and ICS leadership in the Medicines and Care Pathways theatre, delivered in partnership with the NPA, to tackle the sector’s most critical challenges, articulate the true value of medicines, and elevate pharmacy as a system-wide strategic asset. Data and digital innovation theatre The use of big data analytics and different AI applications will be critical for the NHS and wider health and care system to meet future demand. With human and financial resources increasingly scarce, intelligent use of technology, data analytics and AI is perhaps the only way the NHS will be capable of managing the increasingly complex health needs of an ageing population and deliver effective population health management at scale. To achieve this transition, the NHS will need a workforce capable of managing the analytical, strategic and business-oriented demands posed by these advanced technologies. This will require significant investment in training and development to equip healthcare professionals with the necessary skills to leverage big data and AI effectively. Furthermore, a robust infrastructure that supports seamless integration and interoperability of data systems will be essential. Collaborative efforts between healthcare providers, technology companies, and academic institutions will also be crucial to foster innovation and ensure that AI solutions are aligned with clinical needs and ethical standards. The integration of data and analytics capabilities will be critical for the NHS as it will enable better operational and business intelligence insights that will support effective and efficient resource allocation, ultimately improving patient care. System leaders need a forum through which they can connect with data and analytics experts, both locally and nationally. In partnership with Analyst X, PPP is holding a Data and Digital Innovation theatre that will connect key national stakeholders and ICS leadership with analytics experts for interactive debate and discussion. These sessions will highlight data-driven case studies and help attendees develop locally responsive, data-driven health and care strategies, as well as explore how data analytics can help drive resource optimisation, workforce planning and high-quality operational insights.
