Many sports are played throughout the year, e.g., baseball season earlier in the year and football season in the fall and winter. As such, many people are engaged in watching sports over the weekends. Just like many other things, the timing of games is scheduled over the weekend and in the evenings, so work is minimally affected. Many big matches are on Sunday. If there are any matches during the weekdays, they start in the evening after work. SPORT HAS THE POWER TO CHANGE THE WORLD. It has the power to inspire, it has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sport can create hope, where once there was only despair. SPORTS PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN AMERICAN SOCIETY. ON THE OTHER HAND, WE DENOUNCE WITH RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION AND DISLIKE. They enjoy tremendous popularity but more important they are vehicles for transmitting such values as justice, fair play, and teamwork.
