We offer music instruction, a recording space, dance lessons, vocal lessons, and tutoring at our studio here in Cleveland. Here you will find a place where you can dive into the arts with like-minded instructors who can give you world-class training at a price that’s just right. At NEXTWORLD Cultural Arts Center, we offer many avenues for you to learn singing, dance, music, and more. Everyone, from someone who has never even picked up a guitar or sat at the piano to a seasoned musician, will benefit from one-on-one instruction with our teachers. We have experience working with young children all the way up to older adults. Our lessons are fun and engaging while offering the guidance you need to learn all the right skills, no matter how new you are to the arts. Plus, our recording studio is the perfect place for you to showcase all that you’ve learned with us and through your independent study. The arts provide so many benefits for you as an individual and for your family as well. In addition to cultural arts lessons, the helpful instructors here at NEXTWORLD offer world-class tutoring and test-taking classes. We want to see you succeed both inside and outside the classroom, and our tutors will work with you so your test and school performance are better than it’s ever been before. WHY SHOULD I USE NEXTWORLD CULTURAL ARTS CENTER? NEXTWORLD Cultural Arts Center is a wonderful resource for artists of all ages. We have amazing instructors with ample experience teaching both beginners and experienced musicians. You can expect world-class instruction with us. We teach everything from vocals to dance and guitar to drums. If you are in a band or musical group, we provide an amazing recording studio to capture that high-grade sound you seek. If you have a child struggling in class, our individual-focused tutoring may be exactly what you're looking for. WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF LEARNING A MUSICAL SKILL? If you have a child, developing their music abilities can lead to amazing results in their young development. Music lessons not only provide skills and a lifelong passion for your child, but it can also boost their hand-eye coordination, self-autonomy, and language development. Some children have been seen to gain improved spatial-temporal skills and even improved IQ test results after participating in music lessons. Music is a field that utilizes multiple skills simultaneously. From moving fingers or controlling one’s voice, reading notes and listening to pitch. Musical activities bring these skill sets together in a rewarding performance that is both fun and challenging. A study by E. Glenn Schellenberg, from the University of Toronto at Mississauga, looked at the effect of voice and piano lessons for 6-year-olds. The study involved three groups of 6-year-olds: one group took music lessons, another group took drama lessons, and the last group had no lessons. After nine months of weekly lessons, the study found that the music lesson group had an average of 3 IQ points more than the other groups. Music lessons do not necessarily make a child smarter. However, they have been documented again and again to provide amazing developmental benefits for children and is a wonderful activity that utilizes multiple aspects of the brain in one cohesive goal. CAN MY BAND USE YOUR RECORDING STUDIO? Absolutely. We provide a recording studio to capture your sound at a professional level. We have the space to accommodate up to 25 musicians. We also have a separate and enclosed vocal room to capture high-quality vocals. CAN I LEARN HOW TO DO RECORDING ENGINEERING AT YOUR STUDIO? Yes, we have recording engineering classes so you can learn how to be a qualified recording engineer. We have six recording engineering experts you can work with and learn from. Everything from recording to mixing to mastering is covered in our classes. MY CHILD NEEDS ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE, CAN NEXTWORLD HELP? Yes, we can. With our Academic Challenge Tutoring, we turn around even the most hopeless of cases for the better. We provide assistance to help your child build strong skills for studying and exams. We focus not only on grades but also on learning how to better communicate with teachers. This aids your child in participating in class and being open to asking for help when it’s needed. Another key aspect is increasing confidence, self-motivation, and awareness. By focusing on each of these aspects, we strive to help your child improve their grades and their relationship with learning. Our instructors are active and accredited school teachers in the Cleveland Metropolitan school system and have decades of experience in teaching STEM subjects. They have taught in several elementary and high schools in the Greater Cleveland area. COVID-19 AWARENESS ZOOM LESSONS AVAILABLE | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE! NEXTWORLD Cultural Arts Center found its way through adversity. Despite the conditions imposed by Ohio Governor DeWine’s lockdown, the NEXTWORLD Cultural Arts Center, located at 8804 Buckeye Road in Cleveland, Ohio was able to expand their classes and offer more to their scholars than before. “NEXTWORLD,” begins the cultural center's founder, Jose Haymon, “Is a place for learning opportunities in music, audio engineering, dance, and supplemental academics. I like to say,” smiles Haymon. “We’re developing the musicians of today.” “Before COVID-19, we offered classroom style learning. It was a wholesome setting with a creative and encouraging environment,” explains Haymon, “Then when all of the schools were closed, parents were asking, ‘What should I do during this pandemic?’” That’s where he was compelled to take his educational facitilies online. “We used to have students coming from as far as fifty miles away,” continues Haymon, “But now our outreach is worldwide. We had to expand quickly to the online format and found that we are not only becoming an educational haven without walls, but its been an uplifting learning experience for me. Now we are getting calls from other countries and currently teach across the continent. We were even able to add more instructors!” Haymon joyfully reports that as soon as the lockdown has ended, in addition to continuing the online classes, they will reopen their doors at 8804 Buckeye Road Cleveland, Ohio 44104.
