ZIMBABWE: FARM FARE PRODUCE ACHIEVES GLOBALG.A.P. CERTIFICATION

Farm Fare Produce is a family-owned horticultural business supplying fresh
vegetables mostly to retailers and supermarkets. With an interest in reaching
the export market, the has been working to have its food safety management
system certified by GLOBALG.A.P. option 1 to meet marketrequirements.

The Fit For Market programme has been supporting Farm Fare Produce in the
certification process, from an initial assessment of their existing food safety
management system, identifiction and implementation of corrective measures,
training of the quality management team, through to final certification. At the
end of 2021 Farm Fare Produce successfully passed the audit and received
GLOBALG.A.P. option 1 certification for capsicums, mangetout and passion fruit.
Congratulations for this major achievement!

This activity is supported by the Fit For Market programme, implemented by
COLEACP within the Framework of Development Cooperation between the Organisation
of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) and the European Union, and
co-funded by the French Development Agency (AFD).

#ImportantUpdate: #PEACH to #IPAFFS Transition for #UK Imports We would like to
inform all countries exporting to the United Kingdom about a significant change
to the IT system used for importing products. Since the beginning of April, the
current #PEACH system will be replaced by the IPAFFS Import of Products,
Animals, Food and Feed System. This change requires operators currently using
the #PEACH system to register for #IPAFFS to ensure uninterrupted imports.

besoins croissants des producteurs locaux! Grâce à une collaboration avec
l'#ANCAR THIES, une session pilote a été lancée, inspirée des outils #COQUA de
la FAO. Cette initiative vise à renforcer les compétences des vulgarisateurs et
des facilitateurs travaillant avec des groupements de producteurs. Les retours

side event for around 40 ACP country #NPPOs was hosted on Monday 15 April to
discuss ongoing #COLEAD technical assistance, to network, and to foster
synergies and collaboration between projects, programmes, and institutions.
An overview was also given of the range of publicly available resources on the
Association website, and the ongoing activities implemented through the #FFM+,
#AGRINFO, and other #COLEAD programmes.

stakeholders can give feedback – setting maximum nickel levels in foods for the
first time; a proposed review of food additives; and withdrawing approval of the
pesticide acibenzolar-S-methyl (feedback to World Trade Organization); also
stricter rules on plastic food contact materials; and a review of animal health
rules (feedback to #EU). #AGRINFO UPDATE explains how to respond and gives the
deadlines. It’s important for countries to give feedback on proposed changes to
regulations, especially where they could impact trade.

#AGRINFO UPDATE 23 is just published with the latest changes to EU regulations:
https://lnkd.in/eCQDsqgt. It highlights new proposals and policies where
stakeholders can give feedback – setting maximum nickel levels in foods for the
first time; a proposed review of food additives; and withdrawing approval of the
pesticide acibenzolar-S-methyl (feedback to World Trade Organization); also
stricter rules on plastic food contact materials; and a review of animal health
rules (feedback to #EU). #AGRINFO UPDATE explains how to respond and gives the
deadlines. It’s important for countries to give feedback on proposed changes to
regulations, especially where they could impact trade.
