The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has made a grand entrance into Roblox, one of
the world's leading online gaming platforms, with the launch of Singapore
Wanderland. The unique gaming experience, which has already garnered over two
million visits since the beta version launch on May 11, 2023, allows users to
explore iconic Singaporean attractions in a fun, interactive way.

To bring Singapore to life in the metaverse, STB collaborated with gaming
specialist Publicis Play and Roblox developer Wonder Works Studio over five
months. In Singapore Wanderland, gamers embark on thrilling adventures based on
real-life Singaporean landmarks, collecting magical orchids along the way to
transform a garden with STB's destination mascot, Merli.




WHIMSICAL ADVENTURES IN ICONIC LOCATIONS





The gaming experience offers three mini-games featuring popular attractions like
Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, and Mandai Wildlife Group. Players
navigate through courses in 'Garden Galaxis', hunt for unique items in 'Finders'
Isle', and race through Singapore's green spaces in quirky go-karts in 'Jungle
Jiffy'.





PERSONALISATION AND FUN COLLECTIBLES





Taking inspiration from the beloved entertainment formats on Roblox, Singapore
Wanderland lets users express themselves with fun avatar customisation options
and gather virtual collectibles like a Supertree hat or a Lotus race car.




EXPANDING AUDIENCES AND OPPORTUNITIES





With over 60 million daily active users globally, Roblox allows STB to reach
significant markets such as India, especially engaging the family segment, given
that over half of Roblox's users are under 18. The virtual world opens new
possibilities for monetisation and partnerships, with an aim to develop
Singapore Wanderland into a platform where local tourism businesses can explore
and find new audiences.
